I'm interested in trying to expand our currently curriculum. I've had it pretty easy going the last year and a half so I'm thinking we need to kick things up a bit. We've been using Learn At Home books but they're no longer being published. I've done a search online and have only found religion based curriculum and would really rather not use those.
Has anyone found a laidback secular curriculum that they found was worthwhile?
Thanks!

Do you want a whole boxed curriculum or specific items for different subjects? What grade you looking at?

A boxed set is probably best. We're starting 3rd grade in the fall. Thanks for your help:)

Secular Curriculum:
Calvert School (Grades K-8)
Calvert is an accredited homeschooling program for all subjects. For science, they use McGraw-Hill textbooks in grades 1-6 and Prentice Hall textbooks in grades 7-8. The McGraw-Hill books each cover a mixture of earth, life, and physical science topics. The Prentice Hall books cover physical science in 7th grade and earth science in 8th grade. Labs are low-cost, using primarily household items.
TOPs Learning Systems (Grades 1-8)
TOPS offers dozens of unit study books that encourage science investigation using common, household items. Lab costs are low. As with any unit study approach, it is important to plan your own scope and sequence to ensure covering all the necessary topics. Plan for a good amount of parental involvement with younger children.
Pathway Publishers (Grades 1-12)
Pathway offers a multimedia CD-ROM curriculum, OdysseyWare, for grades 3-12 and a traditional workbook curriculum, DiscoveryUnit, for grades 1-12. OdysseyWare saves teacher preparation time with its advanced lesson planning and automatic grading. Your student can watch science experiments on their computer. DiscoveryUnit includes hands-on labs in the workbooks.

Branwyn,
thank you so much for that information. I completely forgot to come back and thank you. I just started clicking links and reading. It dawned on me when I got the next 'reply notification' that I had never thanked you. I'm sorry!

If you're talking about the Learn at Home books put out by American Education Publishing, my Mom works for a school supply company that has them in stock. I just ordered a the 2nd and 3rd grade ones.
