I am finishing up the little clay play mats that I made for Peaceful winter, to go with the seals and penguins, and I found some flocking that I had forgotten about. it is sand colored, so I will figure out something to do with that for this swap. I have no idea what yet, but I am thinking that I might make a little beach...

Thank you :) I have always loved working with themes ... I used to be a kindergarten teacher and always did thematic teaching. Now I am always busy with themes for our homeschooling and K&F ... and for swaps of course ;)

I LOVE the idea of an accessory bag. I am doing a picnic lunch and was going to add in some tiny books (I already have them) so if you want to do magazines that'd be cool too. The books are plain pieces of paper inside. My children went nuts over them cause you can actually write in them.

WOW!! cool and you just helped me get one step closer to figuring out my basket delimna. I couldn't find any miniature ones for the picnics, I could crochet them quite quickly though, hmmm. I forget all the different ways there are to make things!!

It is kind of fun and frustrating at the same time to work on new things!! My picnic baskets have taken all forms and most of them not so great!! I am working on crochet right now with hemp/wool yarn I got from a co-op. Glad to get to use it cause I ain't doin no knittin right now, that's fer sure!!! ;) I am all for sand castles too!!

Yes we do all these things for our Nature tables....well my kids play with most of it too:lol: Ah heck I admit it, I play with it all more than they do:smirk:

We do most items from either felt and embrodery floss like you mentioned, or wool roving and felting needles, or wet felting, or some of us like to make things from Clay too

I'd love to see some your your crafts, oh those Bunnies are Lorraine's..she always does aweosme work:)

And like Kris, these items are for our nature tables (we have 3), and I play with them just as much as the kids, lol! After all one of the nature tables is mine!

Really, anything goes for our crafting. We kep things to natural materials mostly. But there is such a wide variety of talents here ... knitting, crocheting, needle felting, wet felting, hand sewing, embroidery by mahcine, embroidery by hand, clay work, paper crafts, woodworking, beading ... you name it!

can I take Tawnya's space? Since she was going to do suns, that'd be something I could do.. not crocheted, since I've got no earthly idea how to do that, but I'll come up with something... I've got some ideas, just not sure which one will work yet :)

not sure if i mentioned but i made volleyball nets. i just need to glue sand on the clay and attach the "gauze" netting. i am going to add a volleyball too - but i was going to glue it to the sand...so it wouldn't get lost. do you prefer i leave it loose? i hope to post a pic soon.

I got my stuff- Here is my loot (which all goes great with pirate stuff!)

Beach with umbrella (love the flocking)- it broke but I think i can repair by glueing it onto some cardboard.
A saltdough sun ornament- so cheerful.. can hang it above us!
The crocheted picnic basket..with the clevrerest felt sandwhich.
Beach towels with sandcastle and flags.. so cute- this bag also had a blue ball with a face.
Then I got a package of shells and fish beads.. perfect for playing on the beach.

I also got one of my palms back.. so I am assuming that someone dropped.
