It IS a very fast knit.
I bought the pattern last night and I'm halfway through the 2nd slipper (size 3) and would have that finished if my morning hadn't been so busy!

Another great LTK pattern!!

Those are adorable! When I'm finally brave enough to try circular needles I will have to have that pattern! :D

the pattern's actually knit flat back and forth (not in the round), but the way that it's shaped in the toe it's much easier to knit it on circ needles becuase you get the flexibility of the cord ;) But, it's no different than knitting flat on straights, really :)

oh!!!!! good!!! i just purchased the pattern yesterday, and i am such a newbie that i was going to ask if it's knitted in the round (is that the term?) using circs...i have a pair of circs with the cord that's way too long for the casted on stitches.

pls ignore my ignorance! teehee!

I partially finished one last night and found it much easier to use dpn's. Things got really tight after I picked up stitches for the sides. I can't wait to get it finished up though!

it's only tight like that for a row or two after all the pickups, then it gets easier :)

I loved every pattern on that page.

What is a heavy worsted weight, canyou tell me a brand I could see in a store. I need to know if I have any in my stash. I might try these. I haven't knit in a long time, my hands go numb so quickly when I do so. But these are tempting me anyway!

bartlett's fisherman, peace fleece, plymouth eco, or lamb's pride worsted. lion brand fishermans or cascade 220 work if you double strand it :)

Help!

I am stuck on the instep section! Please excuse my newbie-ness...I even took a pic...

Where do I go from here? I am not sure what "top of foot" stitches mean...I knit continental style and am fumbling as to where the the needles should be going etc... Though I do know that picking up stitches mean.

I guess I don't know where my start point is for this section, which direction I should be going and which hand is holding the needle that has the yarn hangin from it at the start point.

Thanks so much if you've read this far!!!

The top of the foot stitches are the ones at the bottom of your pic, looks like 10 or so.
If I'm thinking this through properly, take the other end of your circ (the one without those 10 or so stitches) and pick up the stitches along the very long piece, then start knitting with the other end of your circ where the long yarn is hanging. I think you're meant to knit down very long piece to the end of the ankle cuff, joining the cuff to the top of the foot piece.

I hope this made sense. It's nearly 7 am, haven't had any coffee and I have a 3 y/o hanging on me LOL
