do you like it? i bought one but am ready to return it. looks like the only hats you can make with it are ones with pom-poms on top to hide the closure...not my favorite look.

i have read that some people rave about it.

thoughts?

ME, ME, ME!!

I know the real knitters out there will laugh but I just don't have the patience to knit or even crochet while preggo.

A friend raved and showed me hers. I got one 1/2 price a few weeks ago and made 5 hats in 1 1/2 weeks!!!!!! I have the rectangular one coming now.
I did a google on it and found other stitches that can be done and real round looms made of wood that are beautiful and come in different gauges.

The knifty knitter seems to be recommended for children but I think it is a great, affordable, way to get some winter gear made!!

Ok, commercial over but I do love mine and am getting ready to make a merino wool color-blocked blanket on the rectangular one when it gets here!!!!

Oh, I don't make poms on the tops of mine. You just cast-off and pull the string to gather. Then tie and weave in the ends. My children opted out of the poms too ;0

I just bought a set last week for the girls to use, and subscribed to a Knifty Knitter at yahoo for patterns.

Check out this page for links on loom knitting.

I don't knit or crochet, but I've heard a lot about it, and it was all good. People are raving about it on another board I belong too--even a few die-hard knitters.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale, but I have yet to try it :)

I have a set. I've made 2 hats. One with a double brim for my son and one with a rolled brim for my niece. They are so cute! We opted out of the pom-poms. I am totally hooked!
