Tell me if these look ok to you.:)

If you want to donate a prize, please let me or Tuesday know and also include if you want the prize to be for the top scorers or for something else.

Stash game will start December 5th and run through January 5th.

Fabric purchased before the Stash Game and received during the Stash Game counts as stash, not as negative points. This includes fabric ordered, but not paid for (ie, from a co-op).

Fabric purchased during Stash Game, but not received until after the Stash game, counts against you.

Sewing from personal stash counts, but sewing from business stash does not count, only if you differentiate.

+8 per yard sewn from stash

+4 per yard sold from stash

+4 per yard given away from stash

+4 per yard thrown away

-8 per yard bought during Stash Game

+4 per yard sewn from fabric purchased during stash game

+1 per type of notion used (interfacing, dye, fabric scrap, buttons, snaps, binding, bias tape, ribbing, rick-rak, zippers, stabilizer, etc.) Thread does not count as a notion!

+3 for ufo's

+1 for sewing something from your scrap basket into something, but no points for throwing away or donating.

Stretch lace counts as yardage.

+1 per for accessorising (matching hat with dress, etc.)

+1 for Charity

+1 per hoop for machine embroidery

Dying: Dye counts for +1 per garment, as if it was a notion.

Mending: No points for mending.

Quilts: If you quilt/bind/ aka finish a quilt during the stash game then the following would apply:

1) Backing counts as yardage

2) Batting counts as yardage

3) Binding counts as notion

4) Pre-patched fabric counts as yardage (this includes quilt tops completed before the beginning of the Stash Game as well as cheater pre-patch fabric)

5) Quilt pieced during the Stash Game counts as yardage.

Swaps: Receiving finished product in exchange for stash sewing does not count against you. Receiving yardage/notions/patterns for stash sewing DOES count against you.

Thrift store purchases: If you buy an article of clothing to turn into something else, then you calculate points based on the yardage the pattern requires.

Sew n shows: posting and sns of an item is worth 2 points per item, even if they are in the same thread. Accessories for an outfit are counted as part of the outfit for these points.

Sounds good to me! For the sns points, if you do an outfit, do you get the 2 pts for the top and 2pts for the bottoms, or do you just get 2pts for the whole outfit?

Cool! Can we SNS in this forum are do we have to use the Mama's Showcase forum? (I hope it's ok to post it here because I forget to check the showcase forum!)

I'll play - now who has fabric they want to sell me?? :)
(if I buy from someone's stash, will they get credit for selling yardage but I will not be penalized?)
I would much rather buy from someone here than from my JA - they're MEAN there...and this promotes the dwindling of someone else's stash, yes? Which is kind of the purpose?

You can sns here in this forum, I am hoping to get the forum moving moving again with this little incentive. ;) It has been kinda slow.

It's 2 points per outfit or project. You would get 2 points for showing the matching pants and top or a quilt or a set of potholders, etc. If you make the 2 pieces of the outfit a couple weeks apart and show them seperately, then I think you can take the 2 points each time.

On the buying from other's stash here on the board, they get points for selling, but you get the negative for buying. Stash game is a great time for people without much stash to biuld theirs though. :)

even if it's before the game starts - but I receive it during the stash game?
sorry - the instructions aren't very clear about the buying/shipping/receiving.

If you buy before the game starts, then there are no negatives. :)

but if they ship them during the game they get credit for selling? Or what? :)

I mean, for example if I bought 5 yards from a mom participating and she sent it to me on the 5th, would she still get credit for selling yardage?
