I added Blues Clues to our TiVo-ed shows for Miguel as Juliebelle has raved about it.

Tonight DH came up with a way to play with Miguel while I am sitting and nursing. My downfall with Miguel is he needs interaction and usually just as Finn decides its meal time

We made some index cards and made blue paw prints. Miguel will have to hunt through the house and find the paw print then come back to me and tell me what the print was on. Then when he has them all drawn in his handy dandy notebook he will get a reward.

We have set the clues out tonight and we will see how it goes in the morning.

great job julie! savannah finds "clues" everywhere we go. Anything that remotely looks like a clue...it is also our favorite game to play when we are at a restaurant to occupy her while we wait for food. drawing clues on the children's menu.

What a great game, my ds(4) will find things that look like clues

our ds 1 stops LOVES the backyardigans theme song, he will even copy us singing it and if it's on when he's in the room he'll stop everything and dance and then go about playing till the song at the end. He loves music so I can see him enjoying the backyardigan show when he is older.

i have actually watched it.... uh i really didnt like it and miguel didnt seem to follow it. it was the one where they were trying to find tiki beach to surf

most shows he sits and watched. blues clues is the first he stands up for and thats only to jump up to point out the clue then he is back in his seat (see why I have to be picky)

he wont even get up for the wiggles! or the dance part of dragon tails

He will stand up to hold hands with Barny but thats been it

If I dont see him light up for what we watch I ditch it... I however thought he might enjoy the backyardagains if he knew what they were doing... baseball or something he would get better than surfing ya know


Update the game went well, except he woke up before me and snuck out of bed to get himself breakfast. He is at that stage where the less I do the better. He got his juice box then went to potty only he was still wearing his diaper but he sat on the potty to do it anyway and found our potty clue then hunted all teh clues up and woke me with the 3 paw print cards. I replaced them and we did the game later this afternoon and everyone was happy

Oh yeah my girls make believe that they are tyrone and uniqua and act out scenes from the show and make up theior own too.Lots of dancing and singing.Also, if they are in the midst of a "scene" I cannot call them" Bailee & Makenna", i must say tyrone & uniqua;) If i don't I get corrected. :)

If your little one likes music, the new show, jacks big music show is good. Dragon tales and Dora is about all we watch oh and go diego go, and I am surprised at how much she picks up from them, Diego had a condor episode and Victoria spent 20 mins in the car two days later telling me all about them. We watched backyardigans a few times and she really didn't get into it. And for some odd reason she likes lazy town lol so we watch that once in awhile

we tried Jack's big music show but again Miguel didnt get into it and just begged for Dragon Tails the whole time

I hate DRagon Tails because then we fear things just like Org for the next few days. He is a really good actor too. I will be nursing and suddenly Miguel makes his afraid sounds I go running to find out he is pretending the curtins are a giant and pretending to be afraid then gets himself worked up to where he is really afraid and I loose my ability to be a good mom

he loves Lazy Town... anything with super heros pretty much rocks his world, I worry about him getting his cape caught and choking himself though
