:hi:
me again. :)
PART TWO
Well it looks like most of the hard work is done LOL. This next part can be as hard and detailed as you'd like or as simple. I'll show you mine -- if you show me yours when you are done LOL.

You need to make 24 items that will fit in the pockets. We always had the santa reside in #24, but I'm sure you'll do whatever you wish :) The little doggie looks like our dog we had growing up, this was a special touch and we always remember Kelly. I tried to outline the shapes and upload them but for some reason they won't upload. I'm going to try later this evening but wanted you to see what's next.
I did find these pictures, I think they are awesome!

These are made by cutting out TWO of each shape, putting thin posterboard between the layers. Use Fabric Tac glue to make it like a little sandwich. Embelish with bits and pieces, or if the urge arises, you could hand embroider them. If you do this, I'd trace the outline on the felt, embroider, then cut out.
Most of the pieces here have felt embelishments glued on with something similar to Fabric Tac or elmer's white glue. The drum has a bit of cording.
You could but a bit of fluff instead of the posterboard and whipstitch around each item for a 3d effect. You could use little wooden 'coins' and paint different ornaments or presents or what have you on them.
In fact the options are unlimited -- well maybe they are limited because they have to fit in the pockets LOL
Here are some links so simple shapes you can use for the pocket items. Be sure to build them up with decorations, kids love that! I also read that craft glue (regular olde Elmer's) works just fine.

Set the finished, dried pieces face down on a clean trash bag. Following the directions on the label, spray with repositionable glue. Put in the pockets, and hang up December 1 -- Actually putting them in the pockets was one of the most fun parts! Then starting at 1, put a new one up each morning until #24. Super fun! :D
