all tests came back normal. So I guess it must be those teeth  I feel like an idiot. Off to get some teething tablets and motrin becasue obviously he NEEDS something. Poor baby.

mamas, he has been so cranky for the past 4 days. We are getting next to no sleep and when we do get in a good sleep he wakes up screamming. I laid in bed this am ( it WAS only 5 am) and he was crying and I tried to nurse him and he just wanted to scream. he didn't want me to hold , him, he wanted to scream. I refused to getup. No I COULDN'T get up.Nothing holds a candle to this :eyes:

The dr did tests and his kidneys/ urine culture was normal. His bloodwork hasn't come back yet. He has a rash on his torso, and he did have a fever, and hes very irritable. He is cutting teeth, but he wasn't even this cranky when he had all 4 comming in, nearly at once. Does this sound like something familiar , that I am not pinpointing? I have been scrambling in my sleep deprived mind, there is something wrong with my baby. He is sitting for the first time in his exersaucer since i can't remember and hes somewhat happy. My house looks like a tornado went through it and I had to take a shower with him in the sling yesterday. I feel like crying now becasue i want so badly to sleep longer than 3 hours at one time. Boy id be a new person. I really want him to get better and be the happy baby I know he is in there.

I'm glad your baby's fine, though. (Cranky-but-healthy still counts as fine, doesn't it?)

Just wanted to let you know a very good friend of mine is going through the exact same thing with her 6 month old. She JUST called me this morning, sounding rather tired and at her limit, and told me all about what is going on. It was exactly as your post reads. Her ds is teething as well. He also has had a runny nose (no fever or rash or cough or anything else) for about a week. Nothing green, just runny. She is ready to collapse she is so tired. She has a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old in addition to her 6 month old. I guess Im just saying her baby sounds like he is doing the same thing. I hope you get some relief soon.

I hope he gets to feeling better soon.

I just took Seth to the dr. because he had a nasty nose and a very high temp (103), and was extremely cranky. The dr. said he had a sinus infection and he is on an antibiotic to clear it up. Poor kid. I was going to blame it on teething (which it usually is) but I'm glad I took him in to get checked this time. He's feeling much better now and hasn't had the fever since I started him on the meds.

Hopefully Sully will get those teeth in quickly and will be back to his normal self. Nothing like a cranky baby to disrupt a household!

As someones else said, I am glad his is fine. And yes fine is fine even if hes cranky ;) I feel like a A*s taking him to the doctor. But that temp was what worried me. It was 103 under his arm so technically 104. He must've had a virus, but I'll tell ya even with the crankyness he does LOOK like himself again. No more circles around his eyes.
Jessica, I hope your friends baby gets through it quick.

Julie, I hope Jackson handles it better thna Sully because he's my 3rd and by FAR this is the worst episode of teething from all three!

Heidi, It's good tlo hear Seth is well on his way to recovery.

 to you all.

savannah didn't get any teeth until she was 11 months old and she was big enough that she wasn't really bothered by it...she could shove anything in her mouth by that point to help deal with it...so this is definitely more difficult.
