I so wanted to hold off and wait but she is really wanting to eat. She is still getting 95% bm a day just a little nip of rice or bananna's at night now. At her baby blessing 2 nights ago she reached on my plate while me head was turned(I was holding her) and jammed my half eaten roast beef sandwich in her mouth. It shocked the heck outta me and made everyone there laugh hysterically. Its so odd, Hunter never took baby food of any kind...He still won't eat "smushy" things. This one is diving at the spoon and snatching things off my plate. LOL Might explain why hse wieghs more now that her big bro did at 1yr.

Glad to know Autumn isn't the only piggy LOL. We just gave her some more banannna's after she nursed for another 45mins(ouchy me) and she ate half a jar ravenously! Boy am I gonna be mad at myself if all this screaming has been hunger, or want for some new texture.

Just started Bayus too. He's been nursing ravenously for about 2weeks now. So jetlag and adjustment aside, growth spurt considered, teething, mother's milk tea and extra water for me and still nursing like a maniac. We put a whole banana in the fridge and he naws on the end once or twice a day. He really likes the feel on his sore gums. He also got to naw on a bread chunk the other night  Anyhow he's enjoying the textures and his nursing has normaled again (between this and the mother's milk tea).
I expected him to wait longer, but I'm ok with this too

Alannah was eyeing my sweet potato last night (and diving for it!), so I gave her a bite. She promptly chew it, spit it out, and then puked a couple minutes later  Guess we're waiting a bit longer!! I actally don't plan on really starting her on solids for another couple of months yet (a bite of food here and there doesn't count in my book! lol).

I'm trying to hold out until 6 mos... one month to go... I can do this... but I only slept 4.5 hours last night with all the nursing. Still trying to determine: growth spurt or solids? Do I really have to go take a shower and get ready to teach 5th grade all day now
