Hello hello...

I'm not sure if this has been done here before, BUT I was thinking last night that it would be a really good way to help both my business and the other WAHM businesses that I work with/shop at.

When I'm out and about I'm always getting asked about my diaper bag, my sling etc... Most of my stuff is WAHM made or marketed. I find myself digging through my purse trying to find a business card to hand out. After all, word of mouth is the very best advertising there is.

Sooooo.... What I'd like to do is swap business cards.

It can be open to everyone who has a business.

All who sign up will send a set amount of cards to me.

I am willing to make businesscard holders for easy storage. I will then divy up the cards and mail the stacks to all the participants.

This way, we can help each other out with some much needed advertising. This is a great time of year to do it too, with the holidays comming up.

I've done this in the past and it works out great...I'd do what you are doing and enclose them in all my outgoing orders, a stack of them :D Unfortunately, life got in the way :/ and I couldn't keep up with the participants, (Sorry to those who know what I'm talking about LOL :/ )

Anyhow, it works, so I wish you well with it :D

Ok, great. It looks like there is some interest. Can we limit this one to 10 people? If it works out, we can do it in the spring, too.

Ok... I'm on a time deadline because I'm moving, so I guess we'll do this one with just the 7 of us.

Here's how I'm going to do it.

Everyone who is participating, please send me 70 business cards with a postage paid return envelope. *It might be a good idea to make sure that you have what you sell/make on the card or be sure to include a small note to remind us when we get the cards.*

I have made little card wallets to keep them organized. I will divy them up and mail your package back in the envelope you provide.

Please let me know when you have mailed your package so that I can look for it in the mail. Now, I am in the process of moving, so these cards need to get mailed by the end of the month.

I sent that last batch of cards into the ether apparently (I don't think I ever had the address but I somehow managed to send them out to lord knows who! I feel a bit like a loon!) and I don't want to keep you mamas waiting. I am really not usually major flake, I swear! LOL We have ongoing work being done to our house and evidently it has muddled what pitiful organization skills I had.

I want to thank jeanbean again for putting this together! I am sorry that you had to wait on me.

I got my cards and case today, lovely job jeanbean!

I picked up mine from the PO too! The holder looks great! When the business cards are gone, I'm using it as a wallet. :D

Oh good! I'm glad you like them. It was good practice sewing all the pockets. I still have three left. I'm going to see if I can get another mama to help promote our business... in exchange for the wallet, of course. :)
