Miguel will be 2 years old this year and we are trying to decide if this would be a good year for santa to deliver gifts personally. DH got my grandfathers santa suit its really well made and gorgious. is 2 years the right age to start this? how do we do it with 2 kids? who will take the photos? do I just put the baby down and let this be all about Miguel and assume Finn will get his turn in 2 years?
any opinons or ideas would be appreciated

year before last jeff dressed like santa on christmas eve & delivered gifts for my neice & nephew who were 6 at the time. they were so excited to have caught santa in the act! we were all at my parents house. it was soooooo fun!
i'd say wait a year too unless he "gets" the whole santa thing, yk.

he gets santa... i dont think he knows santa brings gifts... I think he thinks santa is a character kinda like mickey mouse
last year we went and saw santa, he bee lined it for santa just as we entered the line and wiggled through the gate and right up to santa with a big hug... as it was not our turn no photos. then the camera broke and 90 min later it was finally our turn and miguel no longer cared
i think this would be a no brainer if we had a guy who could do the dressing and daddy and I could both be in attendance. i just dont think i could wrangle both kids
guess we will wait another year

yea...that's what i was thinking..i think it would be better if there were a santa and then the two of you..esp if for some odd reason one of them gets scared...(for whatever reason)

Personally, I think you know your kids best and should do what you think is best.
Other cool things... ring sleigh bells outside of the windows (have someone sneak out). Bake cookies and leave them with milk to be eaten (lol or cheese ;)). Leave Santa Boot prints in the house.

My mom always had us leave cookies and milk for santa and carrotts for the raindeer.
we would always find the carrot stub with tooth marks in the yard later that day...
and fairy dust from the tooth fairy
and dust bunnies from... JK
We have no family in this state so stuff like this is just going to be more challanging to arrange.
