Not just the little sniffle thing. Like coughing, unhappy, nose running, spitting up all over because of all the phlegm. Blech. I took her to urgent care. Verdict: viral. I thought for sure ear infection, but not yet he says.

I'm doing tylenol because her fever was 101.9 early this a.m. and she won't nurse without it. Baby vicks chest rub. Vaporizer with eucalyptus oil and peppermint oil. Saline and bulb syringe. Propped up in crib with boppy to help her breath and sleep easier.

Anything else I can do?

Grace was 14 lbs 1 oz. around the 2nd of October. A mere 20 days later, she weighs 15 lbs 8 oz. No wonder my boobs hurt and I'm so durned tired all the time! Holy growth spurt Batman!

breastmilk! instead of the saline drops, drop breastmlk in there. It will help kill even viruses. and keep on nursing mama!

Will it make more mucous? I'll try it... heaven knows she isn't nursing as well with the cold and the milk has to go somewhere. I pumped out 8 ounces this morning at work

I have a steam recipe that works great...put lemon grass, a piece of ginger root, and some vapor drops into a pan, heat it on the stove til it boils. Take it off the stove and put it on a cookie sheet. Take a blanket and drape it over you and Gracie and sit with the steam for a fwe moments. I wouldn't stay too long seeing as shes still just a baby and you don't want her to overheat but the combination of the ingredients really helps clear it all out. I did it today with Elizabeth and what a difference! We all have bad nasty colds here too.
