I don't have much experience sewing but I was wondering if a novice could make their own cloth diapers. I was thinking maybe I could make simple cotton (do they sell appropriate stuff) insides which I could pin and then buy some waterproof wraps for the outside. I know the fleece I could just cut up pieces for the inside. I am looking for ways to save as much $ as possible with our newest blessing coming soon. Is it cheaper to just buy the chinese pre-folds?

Is it cheaper to just buy the chinese pre-folds? IMO YES if you are just doing prefolds. If you were to start using fitteds and AIOs or pockets then Id say its cheaper to make them. PFs are only about 1.50-2.00 for each one and the amount of layers youd need to make one would probably cost you at least that plus your time.. Just my opinion ...
