Hi there,

I am looking for a playgroup in the Clairmont/San Diego area. Know of any?
Also maybe a daycare? I am very iffy about some, and it wouldn't be for everyday but for 1 day a week. Anyone know of any in the vicinity?

Have you tried contacting Las Madres? Also try the tribes at mothering.com, there is a San Diego thread.

Definitely join our thread on Mothering.com. It is currently "San Diego Mamas Part 8". We talk a lot about the playgroups going on. One of the mamas there can give you the rundown of all the groups. There is a San Diego AP playgroup on Mondays, an east county LLL playgroup on Wednedsays (tends to be east county locations), and a few others.
I am in Serra Mesa, so pretty close to you. As for daycare, not much help here. The one for Children's Hospital employees (and also community members) is pretty good but I don't think you can do one day a week. St Marks church in Clairemont has a very good one but also not sure about one day a week. I remember when I was looking for one when Miles was 2 I had a really hard time finding anything for very part time for that age. I would definitely look into the one at St. Marks though.
