Beth is complaining that the unfiltered apple juice I put in her Sigg bottle for lunch tastes bad and that is why she will not drink it. Anyone else experienced this. I know it gets a little warm so I knit a "sock" to go around it out of wool. That seems to help. We do not have apple wine when we get home from school. But, now I am wondering if perhaps I need to go with something either plain stainless or insulated or both.
what is the inside of the sigg? we have these-- http://www.thermos.com/thermos/cfm/prodDetail.cfm?id=297 only they have batman and star wars on them (5 bucks cheaper that way, lol). and liam still has ice in them 5-6hrs later. we got ours at walmart, but target sells them too, they are just 5.00 more. 15 at target, 10 at walmart. really really like them-- so much that i bought two

I've never had a problem with our Sigg bottles (had them for about 3 years). We mostly drink water out of them though. Could the mouth part need to be dismantled & washed? I know my DD stopped drinking from hers a week ago because she said the water way yucky, she was fine drinking out of mine with the same water so I cleaned the mouth piece really well & it seems fine again. Sigg is supposted to be good for everything as long as you don't freeze the bottles. *pop*.

I dismantle the tops every wash. Water does taste fine, so does soy milk. But they complain about the juices. I may be replacing them for them. They are really too big for their lunch boxes anyway. I have one of my own so I do not need to keep 4 extra bottles.

Heather, what section are they in at Walmart? I can't find ANY thermoses at walmart. Most times I have trouble finding anything in that place. Are they in kitchen or hunting?

Michelle. When you repalce your kids Sigg bottles are you going to sell them, hint hint? I'd love to get one for my neice & a friends son since both LOVE to drink out of mine but I can't justify full price YK. JLMK.
Hope you find something that works for your kids.

I've actually frozen juice in my dd's sigg for school - I only fill it about half way, then place it in the freezer on an angle (so the juice freezes on an angle as well) - fill it up in the morning and she has cold juice all day. :)
Good luck with your dilemma - it's tough to spend that much for a product and have it not work for you.

I was considering putting all together tonight, juice, bottle and wool cover, and putting it in the fridge so as to start with it all cold. But, Sonya, that sounds better. I do not fill theirs anyway. They are the larger ones (.5 action). Thanks.
