I'm having a really hard time finding things, especially for fall and winter...love Goodwill & other thrift stores, but can't seem to find my style there.

Any suggestions?

i have friends that i trade with, i make my own stuff, i buy from:
hodgepatch (on seasonsoriginals.com)
peaceful patchwork (on seasonsoriginals.com)
boodaisy.com
eclecticsunshine.com (ETA: bad tranx, wont buy from ES again)
funkyphresh.com
on ebay
i have traded with JCCL/cindy, nvr2tall/katie
i meet other seamstresses here:
http://www.homegrownthreads.com/

the best thing i have found are the hippiesew boards and books to make my own (since i am not 100% hippie - more gothabilly with a slight bit of hippie thrown in - that way i can make my strippy skirts with a hint of goth flare)

well, i'm alot less of a hippiemama nowadays (maybe its time for me to finally after 5 years change my screen name lol) in terms of how I dress.
I'm finding the more weight I lose the more form fitting stuff i want to wear. I'm mostly in jeans/pants/capris now and more fitted skirts vs the elastic waist or drawstring patchy stuff.
I'm really having alot of fun shopping the clearance sections at Wet Seal and Body central at our malls. Both have more 'hippie'/'crunchy' kind of shirts and bottoms. I got an awesome shirt for like $3.99 there last week.

but for the most part i'm all about goodwill. They have $1 tag days on thursdays at our local store and I got my entire fall shirt wardrobe there last week - about a dozen lightweight longsleeved shirts in a variety of colors :)

I get a lot of stuff from ebay. I know it sounds silly but if you do a search for "hippie patchwork" you'll get sooo much stuff.
www.sbfamilycrafters.com has a lot of different women who sew and have sites.

Hope that helps some.

much love

I love making my own clothing and would love to share ideas with everyone! :)

I'm in the process of making a phunky witchy bag :) I'll post pictures when I'm done.

I currently have a skirt up on ebay, but dunno if its anyones style :)

Tops are my biggest obstacle...I can't find them anywhere!! I really like a good hippie top & cords or jeans, but I've always had a hard time finding them...especially in the fall & winter - long sleeved stuff. Just gotta keep looking...
