My newly 7yo DS is VERY into Magnetix and K'nex, too. He loves making all kinds of creations with different thing (and oh yes, legos, too, lol). He also likes collecting the new Hot Wheels Acceleracers cards, too. He also got a razor scooter that he loves (he previously had the toddler 3-wheel kind). Also, any co-operative games go over well, too. Hope that gives you some ideas :-)

Korie, who will turn 7 on 12/28, will also be getting a Go Kart from Ho Ho. Something like this (http://salestores1.com/rae30goeesps.html) I think But were not done looking yet. We may just go for a full size one and that way Tommie can put a govener in and have it go SLOW.

Depending on available funds, I'd like to get Hunter (6 1/2yrs) a desk for doing his schoolwork (aldi's $69) , science books, lincoln logs, memebership to the museum/planetarium, craft stuff, an alarm clock, and some space pj's. For a toy he wants the mini robo sapien robot.

My son Jacob is 6 and he loves the Magnetix. I'm thinking he'll get a nice set of walkie-talkies for Christmas. His friend Adam has a set and they have a great time playing with them when he comes over. We have woods behind our house, so the perfect place to use walkie-talkies.
Something he got last year that was a big hit was a kit called 'Snap Circuits'. He makes all kinds of projects with it - a ringing bell, a song, etc. I think I ordered if from Target online for about $20.

My son is 5. I got him some magnetix on sale at Kaybees, and I am going to get him a remote-control car. I want to get him one that drives over all kinds of stuff.
I am not sure what else to get him. I have to go toy shopping soon. I don't like waiting until the last minute because I hate the Christmas rush of people.

Discovery Toys has Flexiblocks. THey are like Legos, but they connect on the ends so they can be flexible. My kids love them! There are 166 pieces in a 10" by 16" cloth storage bag.
