Last year I asked for magazine subscriptions for all of the kids. My then two year old was gifted Wild Animal Baby and Zoobooks. He loves both of them and is excited when they come in the mail.

Legos ;) of course, Daniel isn't really a toddler anymore (he is 5).. but he is getting legos... LOTS of legos... I think I might buy him a huuge lot on ebay and get him a box to sort them into...

Josh will be 3 a week before Christmas, so I've got both his birthday and Christmas to buy for.
He's getting a Haba workbench to use tools like Daddy...
wooden tinkertoys
wooden lincoln logs
dinosaur puzzles (he's getting a floor puzzle and a few others)
maybe a membership to Fernbank (where the dinosaurs live!)
not sure what else.. he's at that stage where we'll get him a bunch of stuff so that we can weed out all the baby boy toys and he can have big kid stuff instead... we did a lot of that last year when Lindsey turned 3 with the baby girl stuff too :)

hotwheels. my son is obsessed with hotwheels. We walked past some in Target yesterday and he started laughing and bouncing up and down.lol Dh pick a small pack out for him and he hugged them the enitre way to ther register going ' vroom, vroom'.
I'm asking dh to make them some pine blocks and I might try to get ahold for some playsilks.

Something (not everything) from this list:
Trains, we thought about it last year, but I think he's ready this year. Not sure what though. I really don't care for Thomas, so I'd like to wean him off that and on to just "trains".
Kid sized table & chairs
A sled. (preferable one that little brother can come along too)
I'm hoping grandma & grandpa will make a pair of playstands with canopy. Or some other sort of wooden pretend play set-up. Or big blocks like these: http://www.sensoryedge.com/howoblbygu.html
Art supplies
Bathtub toys/activities
Anything from this page

I was just telling dh this morning that Owen needs an art table or desk of some sort so I think that's what we'll get him, his big gift, he'll get other little stuff too, probably train accessories

My ds is now 5 and he *loves* Playmobil stuff. They make toys for the younger kids too. I think they're called Playmobil 3-2-1. When he was 2 I got him the Matchbox Ice Mountain set and my brother got him a Hot Wheels track. Those still get played with these days too.
nods nods. I think Romy will be getting a battery operated electric train on a track this year. The playmobil one at the toy store looks like it would be perfect but still looking

Check out our toddler aged toys at my site. We have a great assortment and they are all lifetime guaranteed. If he can break it, we will replace it free. Cant get that deal from the other stores. And they are educational. I find my kids play with my toys more than they do the others. They keep their attention longer.

Thomas trains, legos, possibly a loft bed from dh and I (I'm hoping that dh can just build him one)...He's only going to be 3 in December, but he's very much into big boy stuff.

Not really a toddler, he turns 5 during Christmas week. I haven't really done my Christmas/birthday planning, but I do know of some Thomas and Brio train stuff, and Playmobil stuff he will be receiving.
The other poster was correct-Playmobil makes a line called Playmobil 1-2-3, and it's great. If I had known about it when ds was a young toddler I know I would have invested in some of it.

We got Ry GeoTrax last year and he LOVES them!

He's 4. But, the stuff he plays with now is the same stuff he's had for awhile. The Timbertree tree house (maxim) gets his attention every day and he's had it for almost 2 years. He loves his Playmobil zoo animals. We have giant sized tinker toys that he plays with every day also.
For Christmas, he's getting the Playmobil Farm and a new bike and I'm going to sew him a cape so he can "fly" around the house.

James is getting a train table, made by the same local man who made his bunk bed. It will be a regular table that we can use for any number of things. I just got a Island of Sodor play board off ebay, so it will be a "Train Christmas" here! :)

I think we are getting the boys bunk beds, this way we have them when they are ready to move into the nursery.
My 2 year old wants a skate board... we will see

My boys really, really want "real hockey skates" (ie ice skates) and "ice and snow." Now I can get them the ice skates, but how I am going to get then snow and ice when we live in southwest Oklahoma and I have only seen one inch of snow the entire 4 years we have lived here I'm not quite sure. I am hoping that Grandma and Grandpa can get us plane tickets to visit them in Utah where they will have pleanty of ice and snow!

DS is 3 now. He has played with the wooden trains every day since his 2nd birthday. He also loves Little People. He has a My First Leappad that gets some use, and before that he had the Little Touch Leap Pad. He likes his Aquadoodle and I saw at Toys R Us where they have come out with a Thomas one where you draw the track and the Thomas that comes with the Aquadoodle will follow the track. My DS is also a big star wars fan. And really any kind of vehicle...from helicopters to cars, anything! He also loves art supplies, especially paint and markers. Last year he got a wagon.
