I wanted to make Jay a new shirt for his first day back to school.

Pattern: Topkids 58 design# 21, sz 128 <-- I used a pattern and followed it! -- well ok, mostly, only changed the trim, the neck and the hem on the sleeves. Not bad for a first try.

Fabric: cotton knits, solid is from a recycled thrift store shirt. Pattern is a cotton lycra -- I was very excited to find a print that would suit an older boy! Grey cotton lycra jersey strip for neck because navy wasn't stretchy enough. Both fabrics are darker IRL than on my screen.

Embroidery: from www.embroiderydk.com -- rotated.

The pic makes all the seams and hems look really wonky -- I was taking with one hand while holding with the other and it came out wierd.

he liked it!! and TG it fit -- never made anything from Topkids before and guessed on the sizing.
