Hey mamas! I haven't sewn since high school and have recently decided I'd like to take a stab at making my daughters cloth dipes as well as find a new hobby. I drug out my grandmothers old sewing machine only to figure out that I couldn't get the machine to pull the bobbin thread up. I'm not exactly sure if its an operator error or the machine is broken. I called to get it serviced (machine is about 30 years old and hasn't been in for service since 91) and they want like 70 bucks!

Anyways, down to my question! Anyone have any idea of what I may be doing wrong or ideas on how I can fix this myself? *probably not I know*

Question 2: Anyone know of a good machine that would be simple to relearn on but would be enough to do cloth dipes and last for awhile? I can't afford a lot of money!
