I would like to participate in a fall nature table swap with a deadline of the end of September but I don't think I could host it. Anyone planning another one? Or did I miss the boat? :eyes:

Korwynne has agreed to host this for us! Thank you so much! We will have 6-8 swappers, looks like we have 4 already, who else would like to join? Maybe we could post a list of wants, or ideas to help us all decide what to make. Deadline for the swap September 25.

I will be needle felting some fall creation yet to be discovered.

And here is a crazy idea, I don't know if it will work, or if anyone is up for it, or if it too much for Korwynne, but what if we made it a fall and winter swap. Say there are 6 people in the swap, we make 5 fall things and 5 winter things. What do you think? (I will not be offended if this does not sound like a good idea to you, I just know I won't be able to do a winter swap during the fall b/c I will be going to school full-time.)

Great, you are our fifth. How does the fall and winter swap sound for you?

Of course you could sew something. My mom sews little apples and pumpkins for fall. Anything small enough and appropriate for a nature table i.e no synthetic fibers, no plastic, something representing the season.

I definately prefer non-religious items.

some sort of Mat would be neat too - I got one in one swap for winter/spring.. it'd be nice to have a little garden/farm plot for our fall harvest :)

I'm debating clay veggies

Clay veggies would be nice for our house. I was thinking of attempting some wet felt baskets for the harvest table like 1 1/2 inches big, that would be great with clay veggies.
For winter I think I will do some winter gnomes.

Oh I can totally do mats....for fall harvest.

I think 6 is a good number to stop at. Especially since we are making 2 sets of things. Any more people and we will have to be making tons of items!

I'm feeling pretty derned nervous about this! I've never done felting or anything before. I do sew and I do dye. What about fall and winter dyed silks? Does that sound OK?

I made my first basket. I think they are going to be great, if I do say so myself! Is anyone apposed to me using a bit of leather for a handle, didn't know if we had any vegitarians in the swap.

I hope yall will like what I made - Korwynne I hope you have them now :) The silks colors didn't come out the way I expected them to. But they're still pretty nonetheless.

Sorry I'm so late, but mine went out this morning. I forgot to add the note (Jodi knows who I am, lol!) but I sent needle felted pumpkin abies for fall and snowy playsilks for winter (they are embossed with sparkly embossing powder)

Darn thing ate part of my receipt, dc #s and all. :( Of course we'd already dropped the packages in the slot too. :( It affected two packages from this swap, please let me know when they arrive, and if they don't, I'll make it up somehow. My funded paypal addy is jpilcher @ mindspring.com (no spaces).. and huntersmama and warneral, if you want to wait to send it until you recieve your package, I totally understand and would be okay with that. And actually, both Huntersmama and Bonnie, if you want to not reimburse me but instead mark me as paid for return shipping for the swaps you're coordinating, it'd be fine with me. It seems silly to send me money just so I can turn around and send it back. :)
