Hi, I'm new- actually I'm not, but it's been a long time,
Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone had any info on pregnancy after twins. Mine are 2 yo now and I'm pg again. They were pretty huge (6lb2oz & 8lb2oz) and as a result my stomach muscle split and still has to be surgically repaired. Does anyone know if this will be detrimental to this pregnancy? I've also heard that my uterus could have been over stretched and will be ineffective during labour. I did not have a c-sec, my labour was quick and relatively easy (induced though) with the twins.

I don't have any info about pregnancy after twins but my twins were even bigger than you and I have never been told about an overstretch uterus. I'm not sure I believe in such a thing.

I dont have any advice per say, but I wanted to wish you luck. I have never heard of an over-stretched uterus, but Im not saying its impossible either. I would think you would do ok with your next pregnancy. Be prayerful, and mabey watch your body up untel labor, and you will know what to do. Your body may surprise you! ;)

I noticed your in UT. I lived in southern UT up untel 3 months ago - I miss my family. You have a beautiful family, BTW!!!

What good sizes on both of your guys' twins! Mine were 7 lbs 1 oz - and 6 lbs... not too bad! We went to 38 weeks gestation too.

Never heard of such a thing. Many women have their stomach muscles split during singleton pregnancies, too.

My twins were delivered via c-sec and the next two were vbacs. My uterus was highly effective, imo, for those vbacs. Dd3 was born after about 5 hours of active labor and pushing, dd4 after an hour or so.

I'm not sure about an overstretched uterus...haven't heard that, but I went on to have a very successful VBAC delivery with a singleton after twins.

My twin girls were 2.5 when the new baby arrived...similar to yours. Things have gone very well btw, in case you are concerned about that part of it at all :)
