My 14 year old grand daughter just moved next door and she wants me to sew something for her. Like many her age, she wears mostly Tshirts and jeans. I will purchase jeans but can anyone suggest a fabric and pattern for tees? I like KS patterns and I don't want her looking like she is wearing just underwear. thanks for any suggesstions, mamanell

If she has a tshirt that she loves, you can always trace it to make a pattern, that way you know that style will fit.
Also, I find that my 13 yr old daughter loves pj pants, and those are quick and easy to make, and comfy too!

I would buy the Jalie t-shirt pattern, I think it has sizes from children to women's (or at least a large range) and several styles to choose from. If you search this forum for Jalie I'm sure you'll find the exact pattern number and where to buy it. I bet that one pattern would allow you to make her lots of different shirts easily. I love all cotton & cotton/lycra interlock, it makes fabulous, long-lasting t-shirts. Sewzannes has an excellent selection.
I think this is the popular one. A couple replies down in the thread there's a link to the Jalie site too.

and www.sewzannes.com
and probably www.fabric.com for decent knits too.
Hope that helps :) Come back and show us when you're finished!
