Hey, just looking for some basic intro info on how to get started homeschooling in OH for a mom I know through a special needs board. I'm only familiar with CA options but she knows no one to kind of point her in the right direction.

A basic outline of the options available in OH along with any helpful OH specific yahoo groups or websites would be very helpful. Those first bits of info and contacts are always the hardest to get ahold of but then it just snowballs from there :)

Thanks!

I fond all the pertientnt forms at: www.cheohome.org (I think it's .org). Anyway, it's the Christian Home Educators of Ohio - and they have everything up on the site. I'm not a member of their group, but am using the forms they provide. They also run down what is required. HTH!

Lucas county is where I live. Tell her to check out www.ohva.org . It's a charter school for Ohio and it's located here in the Toledo area. It may help for someone new to hs'ing.
I'm interested too but have a dh who is not supportive.
