Hello mamas,
I am a mommy to two boys and am a second generation homeschooler. I joined this board through someone on Mothering.com board with the hope of giving and getting homeschool/ mothering support.

I am iso a used Enki or Oak Meadow 1st grade curriculum. I was unschooled so this is new to me, but I want to easily adapt the curriculum to fit our needs as a family.

Lastly, does anyone travel extensively while homeschooling? Dh and I are both freelance artists and hope to travel soon to make most of our money.

Welcome! We'll be using Enki grade 1 this year and look forward to swapping questions and ideas if you manage to find a used copy. Technically we aren't supposed to sell our used materials, so it may be hard to find a used copy. Also, everything has been revised and repackaged for this fall.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I did see that they offer a scholarship that I will try to apply for. If you don'tmind emailing me- can you tell me the price range? I have to make sure it fit our budget.

We use Enki as well, and though the administratives as of late are a bit confusing (the repackaging is taking a lot of their time) it is an incredible philosophy.

I'm not sure what the cost will be for a new user right now, it would be best to email the website for a quote. Really, if you can only buy one homeschooling book I recommend the Enki Homeschool Teachers guide above all else- you can use resources from many places, but this info truly changed my life/parenting.
