Maybe this needs to be in the personal place forum, but thought Id ask other recently new moms.
What is my deal. I know Im going through another major hormone shift (hair falling out, face breaking out, changes in cm) But I just really have no desire. Well somtimes, but wouldnt ya know those are the times when dh is at work and waiting on him isnt an option since he doesnt get home until 1am. If I HAPPEN to be up then yay, but usually Im dead asleep. I find that the hours he is at work coincide with the the hours shortly after all kids are asleep and I can actually think about something else...such as sex with dh. But the poor man, he cant catch a break. Trying to be all lovey and nice lol and Im all GO AWAY!
Anyone else :eyes:

I could have written your post- everything, hair loss etc. I just have no interest.
Dh is so excited because I'm finally over a yeast infection, and today I got my period LOL. He's starting to hate Mother Nature.
I do need to remember to take my Cod Liver Oil, supposedly that helps.
So, no...this guy ain't getting it much either. He's pretty patient though (we couldn't have sex since week 13 of pregnancy-the one time I'm really crazy about it) but he knows it seems to come around by 6mos. (or so)
I am also terrified of getting pregnant for medical reasons, and he isn't fixed...so I do think that could be part of what is holding me back.
Right now, I'm worried about getting pregnant and too tired to get out of bed to put in my cap. Also, Sylvie is very unreliable with that first stretch of sleep right now. And, Dh is very conventional regarding time and place. All this adds up to no sex, and truthfully, I'm ready. It's not sex drive so much as just wanting that kind of connection with dh.

I am new to Amitymama but I went through something similar, thought I would tell you. After my first I felt really funny...thought it was just first mom symdrome. NO sex drive, hair falling out, hives when I got out of the shower...turned out to be my thyroid! Post pardum hypothyroidism...not serious, sometimes it goes away on its own, but my doctor (not anymore my doctor) put me on sythnroid...few months everything got back to normal and no more medicine...obvisiouly this may not be the case...just thought I would throw it out there! I'm sure you could find lots online. Like I said...I am new, hope to hear from you all and meet some great mamas!

So I just did a quick reply, don't know what that does, so if this all is repeating myself, sorry I am new. The same thing happened to me after my first. Turned out to be post partum hypothyroidism, not serious. Not only was my hair falling out, I was getting hives and was down in the dumps with no sex drive whatsoever! Iam sure you could find some stuff online. Might not be the same thing, but I felt a world of difference when I was back to normal! So I am new...can't wait to get to know some great mamas!

I thought the same thing Julie!
I'm in the same boat right now. I've got NO drive at all and I hurt everytime we BD anyway. My hormones have me so screwed up while nursing...I'm so incredibly dry. My MW said she's not surprised it hurts so bad at my last exam. She prescribed Estrace estrogen cream to increase lubrication, but I don't want it to lessen my supply so I haven't used it yet. My poor DH.....it's literally been WEEKS since we've had any fun at all. :eyes:

I was wondering what the heck was going on too lol
Ditto too on the no lovin around here lol For dryness though, how about some plain old k-y? My dh works nights so he is out the door @ 10:30 and when he is off he falls asleep putting Victoria to bed @@ Most times I have to make myself say yes, I know once things get moving I am into it but if he doesn't ask I don't even think about it. Glad to meet you tyreine, hope you like it here!
