Ive always been plus sized, around a 16-18, its pretty evenly distributed with some extra on my upper arms. Anyhow, since having Mark my belly, above my belly button is more pronounced. I weigh about 10lbs less than before I had him, but still my stomach is still shaped funny. I can tell when wearing my prepreg pants, my spare tire is more noticable.
Also, I have little desire to eat actual meals. Id rather snack all day on crap. Its just more appealing to me for some reason. What is the deal and am I alone :eyes:
edited for spelling
I am with you sister! My goal this year is to go down two pants sizes, and then down to prepregnancy size 8, but my gut (and that's the only word for it) is freaking me out. I am doing abdominal work every day and I think I am seeing some change, but I feel certain some of this is permanent.

my lower belly is terrifying! it looked pretty normal after cole, but since journey......yikes.....scary!
Nods nods. My belly is weird. I'm losing weight, dropping sizes and still my gut is big and weird. I'm doing alot of ab work to try to do somethign with it.
as for snacking all day I think thats kinda normal. I mean, I eat all day long even tho I'm "dieting" - small meals thru the day instead of just three big meals. I actually think thats healthier, not crap tho - i'm stocking my house with berries, melon, fresh fruits, doing alot of eggs and reduced fat peanut butter, fat free crackers, that kind of thing.
oh, and fat free fudgsicles for treat lol.
anyway I think the post pregnancy belly issue is there for all of us. I'm 2 years post partum and never lost the weight from big sister either 5 years ago so the belly (and two cesareans) is a real trouble spot
Hugs to you !

made me quite the blubber belly
Each baby makes it more difficult to get back in shape and the older you get does the same.
Friends tell me that I look fabulous and not fat at all. They are looking at the rest of my body and not seeing 'the belly' . The belly hides unless covered in spandex and yet it is there.
It probably counts for a good ten pounds of my weight all on its own (guesstimate!)
Meryl Streep once said "It dawned on me that the baby weight was never going to be lost when the baby reached the age of 19!"

I've had 4 babies and I actually weigh almost 15 pounds less than I did before I had my 1st baby, but my body is shaped totally different now. Clothes that fit me before I had Abby don't fit me now (too tight), even though I weigh less and wear a smaller size. Go figure!

I'm in the same boat... but I think the belly thing has to do with lost muscle tone. I mean, think how far that belly stretched for the baby... especially when I carried her right out front! I'm trying to convince myself I need to do sit ups. Lord almighty, I hate sit ups.
