We're starting homeschooling for the first time, so everything is new to us! We have a hodge-podge of curriculums for spelling, grammar, math, spanish, etc. However, we are doing more 'unit studies' for science. We're starting a unit on ocean and ocean life tomorrow. We'll do all the introductory stuff this week and will leave for a week-long vacation at the beach on Saturday and will try to do a lot of hands-on learning while at the beach. If you have any favorite websites that include information on oceans, ocean life, marine mammals, etc, please share!!!

Wanted to add that I am looking for age-appropriate information for both a 4 year old and an advanced 8 year old.

It does have some christian content, but if that doesn't bother you, it is pretty comprehensive. (36page unit study)

A lot of times you can google the topic (ie, "ocean life unit study") and come up with tons of different resources ... I have a couple of sites bookmarked that are indexes of unit studies online, but I'm nak and they're on the other compuer... I'll try to remember to come back to this. Off the top of my head, _The Night of the Moonjellies_ might be a fun go along :)
