I knew it was from one of you (-: thanks Jayme. Hey, I bought a couple of shirts from Target that are twist front, I like the way they did it, the long strip becomes the v-neck, not a band under the bust -- you should check it out! I'm considering cannabalising one for a pattern....

I'll have to check that out. Whenever I see someone in a twisty shirt, I always try to get a good look to try and find a better twisting strategy. If you do make a pattern from yours I'd love to see a pic of the twisty piece. :)

That baby blanket sneak preview is wonderful! How did you get the multi-color effect on the stars, was that a variegated thread or something else?
