as i was writing this, i realized that many mamas here go through depression. myself included... i hope someone can read this and it will help make some sense of something...
more than anything, if we don't take care of ourselves, we cannot take care of our children. if we don't deal with our fears, anger and depression, we will pass that on to our children... here is part of what i told heidi.
it sounds like you are the type of mama who feels guilty for everything... like everything is your fault. let me tell ya, if your dh isn't having a
good day, it isn't because of you. if he isn't having a good day, it is because he is choosing not to!
just because you are a mom that does not mean that you are not spiritually and emotionally responsible for everyone else's feelings. you
are responsible to a certain extent for your children's feelings, but it is not your job to make them feel better... it is your job to show them how to make themselves feel better! you simply cannot do everything, worry about everything, be responsible for everything... and then expect not to be depressed. it all comes crashing down.
the key is not asking those around you to change their ways of thinking, but for you to change your own. you are responsible for your actions and the way you feel. the other grown ups around you are responsible for themselves... calmly realize this and stop accepting the responsibility to make them better!
big hugs mama. it is time you know. this thing you are going through is not just pms, it is life calling and waiting for you to answer. there is a turn coming in your path- you have a choice in directions that you take. ask yourself what it is that you are supposed to be learning from these feelings...
