nak...

I have cloth diapered two before Finn and never had this problem...

Every diaper/cover combo I've tried leaks. Kissaluvs or preemie prefolds with NB prowraps, nikkys, bumpys. I tried sizing up in covers because I felt the diapers weren't totally covered but then his belly button started bleeding from rubbing (cord had been off for days). None of my wool soakers fit him yet, which might be softer then wraps in the larger size...?

He leaks mostly in the legs where the covers are loose or up the back if the covers don't give total coverage...

I'm about ready to go to sposies till his legs fill out and his belly button heals.

Any suggestions?

I'm afraid I'm not much help, but we had the same problem with tara. She ended up in sposies for a few weeks, then the larger diapers were able to handle her floods lol. Proraps were the first covers that worked, but then she was allergic to the elastic so we had to quit using those!

when Rowan was first born i was using two premie prefolds at the same time...one jsut isn't enough for his pees. maybe you coudl turn some of your preemie prefodls into doublers to use in your kissaluvs. i used too big soakers on ds and they worked fine as long as the diaper had enough absorbancy

nak of course

I've been doing two preemie prefolds for absorbancy, which helps. I'll try some bigger soakers today, hopefully they will work for us too. DH felt bad about the whole deal and ran to get a pack of NB Seventh Generation diapers last night. I admit Finn is sleeping in one right now. I am a dedicated cloth diaperer so he WILL be back in cloth. Thanks for all the help and sympathy!

If you don't mind changing dipes as soon as they're wet, flats are great for the itty bitty stage. Because there is less bulk, you can use a smaller cover. You can get the cheap flats at target or walmart.

eta- Also, you could just leave him without a cover, like on a folded up receiving blanket on a puddle pad. The covers squeezing the dipes seems to make our dipes less effective sometimes. And you might be amazed at the absorbency of a receiving blanket.

the only covers that work for me now are proraps - ella is almost 3 wks, and to make it not so bulky, i have been using minibuns (CB's). any other cover leaks right now :( .
