So really...how long is too long? Tara hasnt gone for over 2 weeks now. We just got through some eating issues and my lovely LLL buddy suggested that she was probably using everything she was getting and thus had no need to go. She doesn't have a distended tummy, isn 't fussy, etc. I'm not really worried, but I wonder if I should be. Is there any way I can encourage a movement?

Have you taken a rectal temperature? :) That worked well for Anders, but he was clearly uncomfortable, and it was related to food allergies. I've never had a child go more than 24 hours inbetween (and that rarely), but I wouldn't worry if she's not uncomfortable. Maybe nurse her more? I don't know what her schedule is like, but if she's using up all that she's takign in, perhaps taking in more would encourage a little output?

try a chiropractor. journey poops weekly (& its dark/firmer/smelly) & our chiro adjusted her hips to help her. nothing yet but more air!
