Ella has dark hair on her back and arms! I am fairly hairless (except "down there" - which i "trim" lol ) and dh is not a hairy guy. Both my boys were not born with hair on their backs...
I swear she's not the milkman's baby! LOL
But anyhoo...does anyone know if the back hair will go away?

I think it will. Both of my kids had very hairy ears at birth. LOL Anyhow, when ds was born he had dd's same newborn hairy ears and the nurse commented that you don't see that often in "caucasian" babies.

All of my kids had fuzzy backs. Megyns was darker than James and Marks. ALL of them had hairy ears. Megyns and Marks were/are dark dark hair. Megyns went away, James still has peachfuzz on his shoulders and back-its blonde now lol and Mark still has a little bit of dark hair on his ears.

Do you or DH have any latino in you?
Both my sons were born with hair down their foreheads and furry ears and backs. They both had visible sideburns as well.
Miguel (my 2 year old) has grown into his hair and what was jet black at birth is now dark chestnut.
I do hope Finn looses his monkey face hair.

I had been told while some hair is normal it was more common with latino, which we are. My family has Native Indian so many of the men cannot even grow facial hair. My mom's 4 kids I was the only one born with hair all the others were hairless.
I was told this by my mother in law and she is an idiot so it could be completly wrong.

Thanks everyone! I feel a little better. I was just envisioning not just having to help dd in the future with armpit and leg hair (I remember asking my mama to teach me how to shave), but having to deal with back hair. :)
