MY neighbor mentioned the other day that she noticed a pasture and barn for rent not too far from here, and how she'd loooove to find 7 or so families to split farm duties for a milking cow or two and some laying hens. We live in GA, and the only way to get raw milk is to grow it yourself. Or drive across state lines.
anyway, I think it's one of the best (if nuttiest) ideas I've heard in a long time, and I was wondering if anyone had any idea how that would work logistically. None of us can reasonably afford our own farms around here - but sharing rent and farm duties... hmmmm....
