I never get to post much. But I do squeeze in a minute here and a minute there to look at everyone's wonderful work.

Here are a few things I made for my Daisi.
First, someone, don't remember who S&S'd an outfit made with this Madagascar material. So, Daisi had to have it. I used a Burda pattern for the capri's, and for the top, no pattern. Capri's are a size 5, very good fit for her bottom. I had forgotten to put in the elastic in the back when i took the pic. I have since fixed it. I tried to copy the top they had on the pattern picture. But of course, I had to be difficult and make it reversible.

I have so much of a problem finding her capri's that are not too long. She wears a size 5/ 5T in waist and bottom, but her legs don't seem to agree with that length. So, I made her these capri's. I altered a Simplicity pattern, using a size 4 for the length. I also only put elastic in the back and not all the way around, which gave her more tummy and belly room. The shirt is bought, I am still afraid of knits.

Thank you Meg! Luckily only one person noticed (sister) that the giraffes are upside down. LOL - I never thought it would end up that way because the animals are all going in different directions. I wasn't even trying to get both legs to match with the pattern.

Thanks Anne! That reversible top sure had me saying some not so nice things about Madagascar. LOL Thank goodness for the seam ripper. Figuring out how to do the elastic in the back and the strap was just Grrr!

Oh, the skirt. Thank you. I loved it. I learned a big lesson about sewing all those squares. Don't do it! Haha. But she just loved it too much once it was done so it was worth all the work. Please tell me she will always love what I sew for her.

Ahh, her hair. It can be such a hassle sometimes, like when Dada thinks it should be left down to blow in the wind as she plays at the park. But she is really good about letting me fix it. Sometimes, i am just ready to cut it, but I am waiting for it to be long enough to donate and still leave her with hair just past her shoulders. Maybe next year.
