Okay, for those mamas that use cloth diapers I have a question. Do you use them all the time, do you use disposable sometimes and cloth sometimes? When did u start using cloth - from newborn or did u start cloth when they were a little bigger ? I really like the idea of cloth but I know when Reagan is with my mom or sil or inlaws they would probably freak at the idea of cloth (although that is what my mom used on me - go figure!)

we use cloth 100% of the time with both of them. i started cloth diapering them both at birth. i found that i really like fuzzibunz and they are both in the same size medium diaper now...makes it really easy to sort diapers. they even change savannah's cloth diaper at church in the nursery...nobody has seemed like that was a big deal at all. i have found that most people think those are pretty cool and easy to change.
now..if i asked htem to wash diapers that would be a little bit trickier.
it's really fun too! savannah is learning her colors from her fuzzibunz!

Lauren was about 99% cloth diapered from coming home from the hospital until about 15mo. Tara is about 75% cloth diapered. I put her in sposies in the church nursery and occassionally around the house. I do it for the nursery just because it's easier for them. They happily accept cloth, but I know not everyone who works in the nursery understands how to put on some of those diapers:)

we use cloth during the day and sposies at night (sarah sleeps 15-16 hours at night and i havent found a cloth diaper than doesnt leak after 13 hours)

with lyl we started at 4 months and used them up until she started going potty. we use pull ups at night time now
with sarah we started cloth at the hospital but i was too overwhelmed after a few weeks so we went to sposies part time. then she started getting rashes that wouldnt go away unless i used sposies. we recently just came back to cloth during the daytime (shes 11 months):)

we use cloth during the day and sposies at night. although i used sposies this past week while i was sick. i also use sposies if my mom is gonna be watching the boys sinse she refuses to use cloth

I started with cds when my oldest was 6 months tryed it for a month and quit. Switched again when my youngest was about 5 months old and my oldest was 2 and still not potty trianed. Had ds2 in cloth full time and about a month later had ds1 in cloth full time. however when we moved out here the water was just to hard and using cloth at night was to hard on their bums :eyes:
I've used cloth on all of my kids from pretty much birth. DS was early, so we started cloth on him after we got him home from the hospital. I have had no trouble with leaks, rashes or anything else. I used Motherease one size on the first two kids. This time we're using flats.

I started cloth as soon as the meconium poops were finished. We use them all the time, except the one week a year we go camping.

i started out with cloth with ds1 at about 3 days..someone gave me a pack of sposies for meconium..but he peed out the leg holes everytime so i went ahead and switched to the cloth.
this time we started at birth. both times we cd'd 100% or 100% as ec back up.

I used cloth exclusively wiht Anders from about 2 weeks on (someone had given us some disposables for a gift, so we used those first). We do use paper when traveling--so at 6 weeks, at 3 months, and at 9 months. And then, about 3 months ago I started using paper at night instead of cloth. I don't like using HUGE diapers, and I don't have the money to invest in a good overnight system. And I will say that Anders doesn't even come close to sleeping through the night, but I don't like to change his diaper in the middle of the night, because then he wakes up and it's hard to get him to fall back asleep.
And, I'm starting to get lazy when I go out, as well, and just grab a paper diaper instead of cloth. But it's silly, because he's always wearing cloth when we go out, so I still have to have the wet bag, cloth wipes, etc. Oh, and I put a cloth diaper on him for church, but I send a paper in his diaper bag, so if he needs to be changed, he ends up in paper.
Erik is in Goodnites for overnight. We started cloth at 6 weeks, and used it exclusively (again, paper for traveling) until he was 2 1/2. Then we started potty-training, and used pull-ups as backup. That's also when he got HUGE, 40lbs... and I didn't have the money to buy all new diapers.

We use sposies right after birth... mostly to give me one less thing to do at first, and partly because I'd have to buy preemie too. For instance, Gracie was 7lbs6oz and got down to 6lbs13oz. My prorap newborn covers did not fit her little bum until she was a couple of weeks old. Guess our kids have little bums :) I'm wondering if the bummis newborns might have? Maybe next time, lol!
I did have a couple of alexis pullon preemie wraps and a couple preemie prefolDs this time that I used at first this time!
nak, oht, excuse the typos

We use them almost all the time, with the exception of swimming or vacations/overnight travel. For both kids we used cloth from day 1. Others can learn to use them in one quick lesson. As long as you're not using pins, it'd be easy enough for them. But you can use sposies on occaision, it doesn't have to be "all or nothing".
