I want to make some cards w/ large letters on them for dd to work on using playdough. I was told to make them large enough for her to easily put the playdough on, she's 3.5, but I'm not finding anything online. Any suggestions?
thanks

Can you use your word processor and bump the text size up to the 20 or 30's?

I was fooling around with that option. Problem is I'm not sure how big it needs to be to be big enough, you know? I did make them bigger but they almost seemed not big enough. I don't know, I'll play around some more:-)
thanks

I was thinking about this some more tonight....
I think letters in the 4 inch height range would be about right. So I guess that would only be 4 letters per print out.
What did you decide on?
I think I want to make a set of these for Dane for his K work this year. He adores pla-doh and he'd get a real kick out of something like this.
You know what would be neat? I routered wood set so they could fill in the holes. LOL. Of course, that'd be a monster project. But a mama can wish...or buy a router. :joker:

I made some large sponge stamps for my dd's walls by choosing a font I liked, bumping it up to a large size and printing it in coloring book mode (outline only.) It saved lots of ink and made really nice large letters. :)
Good luck - although the router idea sounds good too - you can get a router cheap at Home Depot, Katie. :)

Well, I've tried bumping it up as much as I seem to be able to and they still aren't as big as I think I'd like. The biggest I got was 6 to a sheet. Maybe i'm underestimating her in thinking she needs them bigger (LOL)

Do you mean that you can't get the font size to go bigger than 72? If that is the case, you can type in whatever size you want manually in the font size box.

I'm ashamed to say that I didn't even think of that (LOL)
thanks for the reminder!
