I know some don't shop at wal mart but we are a wal mart family through and through so please forgive me if that offends you..
having said that!
Wal Mart had some wonderful school supplies today. We've needed a sturdy alphabet chart for the wall (the kind that runs along the top, near the ceiling?). Nige will start "preschool" this year:)
They had some wonderful phonics/spelling/letter tiles and a smiliar tub called "learning money".
The last thing is really hard to describe. It's a hanging pocket chart with 10 rows of clear pockets. They sell the lined slips of write on/wipe off paper that go in the rows that you can use for spelling words, rhyming, adjectives, nouns, whatever you're studying that week. It hangs neatly on the wall and you can just wipe them off and move on to the next task. I purchased two of them. We'll use one for the week's spelling words and the other for addition. I'll put the math problem on one side and Sabreena will slip the answer into the opposite side.
