:wah: :wah: :wah: screaming at bedtime? she isnt one to nurse to sleep or i would do that. it just started in the past month or so. we have a pretty good nightime routine with both. we eat dinner, nurse, get bath (ds most nights & dd some), play a few minutes, get jammies on. at this point it starts so either dh or i take ds to read/rock & the other swaddles/dances/sings to/bounces/sways.....whatever it takes & she is usually screaming for atleast 20-30 ...has been more at times. what are we doing wrong? makes me cry too.......
:wah: please tell me yours will do/has done this too & how you got thru it :wah:

Mine is doing that right now as I type (dh is with him), however, mine is very very fresh (only a month), so I'm thinking I probably don't have any advice.
My ONLY thought is that maybe she is already overtired. Can you try getting her to bed any earlier? Phaedra was in bed between 5:30 and 6:00 by 7 or 8 months, and Sylvie (3 months) is tending toward a similar bedtime. I have NO idea if it would help, and I am so sorry you are going through this. It hurts for them to cry and for us mamas to feel powerless to help them.

she probably is tired earlier, & if we do get her to sleep, there is no lying her down. for her naps during the day she will sleep thru 1 cycle & if i'm lucky i can get her to sleep another cycle---not transitioning herself yet. we are right now having another crying spell.....this time dh has her...it was his fault she woke anyway........
& like rach said ...i just hate the powerless feeling......if i were overtired i would sleep....what is so hard about that?
