I made a shopping cart cover for Andy and finished it off with double fold extra wide bias tape. Needless to say, it isn't the prettiest thing you've ever seen! The bias tape is so hard to keep straight (especially around corners/curves). What can I do to have the tape lay straight on the fabric instead of having it bunch up?

You can shape it with steam before you sew it down, that helps a lot. Stretch it around curves, don't stretch on straight pieces, and (the hardest part for me) keep the two layers stretched the same amount so it doesn't ripple.

Do you steam the tape and then place it down on your material or steam the tape while it's on the material?
