I'm 99.9% sure that I have one since the threads are all icky and look like they've been cut.Unfortunately, it was my only GOLD and I was in the middle of roll hemming my dd's top at the time. Ack! So, I call the # inside the cone and talk to this nice lady who tells me to send the cone back and it will be replaced along with another cone for my trouble. Wah! I thought I was getting a box,lol!

Do you have your cone? Look on the inside of any Maxi-lock cone and there is an 800 number to call - they'll give you the address. I don't have it on hand.

I finally got my goodie box - it was quite a wait but well worth it. When I called, the lady was very nice, but did press me for details on what was wrong with the cone. Just saying it was a slashed cone was not enough, she wanted to hear what was wrong. And then she wanted to know what color replacement cone I wanted, and if there was one other color I'd like. So it did sound like I was going to get just 2 cones.

It was a huge box that came via UPS though! I think I got 6 cones of serger thread, 50 spools of rayon embroidery thread, and at least 100 spools of regular thread (2 different brands, some were for hand quilting or were cotton, but most were what I can use).

when i said it was a slashed cone, she wanted more info. i think slashed is an amity term LOL
and i got more than the two cones too :happy:
