Just curious? I talk sweetly to Olivia, over exaggerate my facial expressions, and we stick our tongues out at one another. What else can I do with her and what can she do on her own (when she is awake!)?
She already pushes herself up some on her belly and holds her head up so I am trying to figure out what kind of external stimuli I can offer her.

sarah is almost one but from the time i could sit her in my lap, we have been drumming together. now we play "where's sarah" and i get on her level and crawl around hiding under pillows, blankets, behind doors, etc saying "where's sarah" until she comes and finds me. she also loves dancing, either in my arms or on the floor together :) ah, my baby is almost one :sigh
oh forgot we also did songs with hand motions (she loved "the wheels on the bus" and "where is tumbkin" when she was smaller). baby massage, kissing her feet, reading to her, singing to her.

I do the overexaggerated facial expressions, I say things that will likely be the first things he is able to say...papapapapap,mamamama. But funny think is so far, I SWEAR this kid has said HI! I always say hi to him when he first wakes up and lately he opens his mouth super big and lets out a big airy Hiiiiiiii and a huge grin! I brush my hair across his chin and cheeks and he LOVES it. And this sounds strange, but I just talk to him. Usually just normal tone and I just talk out whatever Im doing. Like if Im changing his diaper I just say outloud step by step what Im doing and he totally digs it. He definitely doesnt like any fast motions or "Ahhh BOO's" yet, but soft conversation and clapping his hands together softly or patting his feet together softly. I show him some soft toys and get him to follow them around as I move them back and forth, up and down. So far it wears him out pretty quick, but the giggles I get while we are playing are sooo great!
Sylvie is 3 months, so a bit bigger than Olivia. We "feed" her feet to her. I sit her in my lap and she bends almost double to try to get her feet. She likes to try to swat at toys. She likes to be held so that she can work with her hands. She is just starting to enjoy tickling type things, like neck nibbles or belly tickles. We do a couple of rhymes that involve stroking her tummy or face. She likes to lie on her tummy and reach for toys. She likes for me to repeat her sounds back to her and will start screeching with excitement. Mostly, this time around, I'm not worrying about doing the "right" sorts of stimulation and I think the whole family is enjoying her more because we just kind of do what we think of and if she likes it, we do it again. :)

Smaller sized playsilks. Cole and I would sweep them over Truman's face and over his belly or the rest of his body.
