Six Flags Elitch. It is an amusement park. They have a water section and, of course, a roller coaster section. :) We have season passes.

I am in the springs. LOL I was grudgingly on Ft. Carson today at Evans. We are on the south east side of town just outside Petersons front gate.

Does anyone want to meet at the Denver zoo for a morning gathering? (early enough to no die in the heat? LOL!)

We have a membership and try to go a couple of times a month. I would totally stand inside the gates with an "Amity Mama" sign for us all to gather!

Edited to add that it is supposed to only be 85 degrees on Tuesday the 26th, so I think I am going to plan on a zoo trip anyway. If I know anyone else is going to head that way I will make a sign or hang a couple of playsilks on my stroller or something,,,

We will be there when the zoo opens at 9:00 am

I just can't bear to do the 3.5 hour drive again that soon. Too bad. It would be lots of fun... We have a museum of nature and science membership. We need to get there oneday soon....

After a year of not being online at home, I'm back!!!

We have a zoo membership and it exp. end of August. We'll be going quite a bit before then to walk this pg belly around :) We won't be able to renew it do to lack of $.

I will be in Denver at the Residence Inn on the 8th and at Elitch on the 9th... Anyone want to do dinner or something downtown? I will have a group of 4 girls and 2 boys with me... :P

But if I drive over an hour I'll need a stiff drink to calm my nerves LOL. Autumn hates the car and screams bloody murder the whole time.

Shoot, it would be expensive to take 6 kids to the zoo or museum... I will be there at around 4 Monday... So prolly not enough time to do one of those things? I need a place to take everyone to dinner that is fun for kiddos. Anyone have any ideas? We will be going to Elitch at 9:30 am. ARGHHHH We are only doing this because we got free companion passes with our season passes..

yeah,,I suggested either of those because we have passes..:) Elitche's just doesn't happen for our family...

so here is an idea before summer is over. Anyone want to have a picnic in city park (Denver) and let the kids play in the fountain behind the museum? We spontaneously stopped off there today after a museum trip (also spontaneous) and had a great time, and I found a random mama to chat with.

Just a cheap idea for fun!

As for your Denver stay, have you ever been to the Spaghetti Factory? My kids always enjoyed it, and it is downtown. Or you could drive and have really bad food at Casa Bonita! LOL!

Tuesdays and Thursdays and Fridays are best for us. LOL I will just have to change once I get there...A screaming Autumn makes for a leaking mama!

Seanra and I would love to meet too. We are right here in Denver, so it is easy for us. She does start school the 15th tho. I'll keep watching the thread.

I'm kind of late coming in on this. I'm in Aurora, just outside of Denver, but we travel all over the state.

Hey...after the gathering of Amity mama's in the south, I am totally envious! Would anyone be interesting in a Colorado (and whoever else came) mama gathering this summer? If there is interest, I could talk my FIL out of his cabin for a few days...it is about 40 minutes away from Ft Collins(Near Laramie(Wyoming), hills not mountains, but super lovely), could sleep quite a few with air mattresses in the loft area and there may be bunks in the second bedroom downstairs this year..depending on if the boys work weekend happens before or after the gathering, I think finishing that room is the project this year...

If there are even a couple of ya interested, I could talk to him about weekends that might be a possibility....and we could settle on a date far enough ahead of time that people could plan for it.

I think it would be a blast, but I am not sure if I can get my hubby to agree. :P

We just learned yesterday that we're headed for CO, just north of Denver in Thornton. Don't know much about the area. Glad to see so many CO mamas!

would this be a bring the kids thing? Hunter I can possibly leave with DH but Autumn is still nursing away. If nothing else maybe we could meet at the aquarium or water park or something this summer for a day.
