How do you wash your cloth tp? Do you wash with other things? We have a very small set so I will have to wash them everday, but it is not even enough to make a small load. What do you do?

I only used cloth TP when I was CD'ing so I washed them with the dipes.
If I ever went back to cloth TP with no one in CDs, I guess I would wash them with the towels in hot water with a small amount of detergent & some baking soda and/or borax, 2 cold water rinses (vinegar in the 1st) like I did with CDs.
HTH!

you can wash them with your cloth cleaning rags if you've got them. I also sometimes toss them into a load with the bath mat & shower curtain. I'd also make more so you don't have to wash so often. I hate running out of wipes.

When all mine are dirty this is what I do:
1. dump them all in the wash and soak with some borax and a squirt of Dr. Bronners. (I don't always put in the Dr. Bronners)
2. Wash them alone with a detergent that is free of dyes and chemicals and use vinegar for a rinse.
3. Then for the second washing, I add in my towels and the wet bags that the dirty wipes were stored in, and wash again and do another vinegar rinse.
4. Then I rinse one more time w/out anything added.
I'm chemically sensitive but this seems to be working out well. Clean cloth toilet wipes and no reactions "down there". ;)

Wouldn't it just be okay to wash once in hot with a gentle detergent and a few drops of tea tree oil? Someone on the other post said she makes her own detergent.... Did she post the recipe somewhere? I know someone on the thread had asked for it.

I just wash mine with the whites on hot. Now granted, we do both paper and cloth, so we only have a few rags each time I do a load of whites. I just don't see doing a load of them by themselves, and I don't like them sitting in the bathroom for too long. I really don't have any hang-ups about washing them with my clothing, and they come out clean.

I wash mine with the cloth dipes, kitchen towels, washcloths, dishcloths, that sort of stuff, or just with the whites on hot like littlelemon said. I don't like to use too much water and they come out clean enough for me. Besides, pee is sterile, right? :)

So these you use even when you ahem #2?
Do they get super stinky sitting in the bathroom?
I've wiped with cloth wipes after urinating a couple of times, and it was very nice (they were out of a wipe warmer)
So tell me all about it....

Ours don't get stinkey. they are in a small metal, lidded garbage can with an internal bucket that I can take down stairs. They are washed at least 2x per week. I keep getting more and keep needed more, go figure.

I was with cloth diapers, towels, etc.
But really if you consider the idea of a washing machine is to put dirties in to clean, I would wash them with anything that needed to be washed.
Oh and no it does not get stinky if you wash semi-regularly. Use a pail with a lid. And BAC OUT and baking soda are two good odor fighters :)

No, they don't get stinky. :) We do a load every other day with the diapers. We do a wash with detergent and two rinses, one with vinegar.
The only thing I don't like is that we have a small bathroom and they take up a lot of space, more than paper tp, yk? If anyone has any suggestions on how to remedy this, please share! :)

We keep the basket of dry wipes on the back of the toilet. We have the space for a small garbage can next to our larger garbage can but I like the idea some people have about hanging a wet bag from the bar where the toilet paper hangs. I don't think that would take up much more space.
