I'm in the foothills of N. Carolina, about smack dab between Asheville & Hickory.

I am on the Eastern side, about 2 hrs. from the beach and/or Raleigh. I live just off hwy 70!

I'm in Eastern NC, Garysburg to be exact, which is right outside of Roanoke Rapids. I'm about 35 miles from Rocky Mount, and it takes us about an hour and a half to drive to Raleigh. We're maybe 2 hours from the beach, too.

We're just outside of Raleigh between Garner and Fuquay-Varina (in Willow Springs, to be exact).

I'm out amoungst the tobacco farms East of Raleigh.

I'm about 45 minutes East of Raleigh and about 15 minutes West of Wilson (and I-95).

I have lots of family in Wake County and grew up in Apex/Cary.

ACK! How did I not know this?! I had my first 3 babies at Caldwell Hospital (midwife was Gloria Vodan w/ two of them and Karen Lodge w/ my middle one).

I still go over to Lenoir once in a while, but it's just for the thrift shops now. ;)

YEP! I'm a southern gal too. NC born and bred. So are both of my boys. And my DP. I've lived in my house since I was 1 yr. old. We're between Dunn and Fayetteville [anyone on here ever even HEARD of Dunn??]. Just curious,are there any other open-minded mamas close by? I'd love to set up a playdate sometime. If your kids like animals,bring them to my zoo! We have a border collie,a malinois,3 outside cats,1 inside cat,1 current amputee cat,3 inside poodles,1 inside feist,and 1 inside chihuahua. PHEW! And I clean up after them ALL! :tear:
