Hey cool! Everyone is kind of close to me :) We all should get to gether someplace central. I"m dying to meet some cool mama's IRL. What do you all think?

Yes, I'm in. I'd love to meet. Although I work outside the home, so weekdays are kind of hard for me.

I'm game. I'm off during the summers (teacher :) ) so whenever is fine. My ds has morning swim lessons most of the summer, but we can work around that

I think it would be fun to gather at a park and have a potluck. This is what my Hip-Families group in Chicago does every summer & it's both easy and fun for everyone. The only things we need are a location & a date. Everyone is encouraged to bring a treat to share and a few people offer to bring a folding table and misc. items like plates, cups, utensils & name tags. It is also sometimes fun if someone brings bubbles for the kids to play with or a few inexpensive beach balls but those are strictly extras.

It sounds like Madtown is the most central location to all of us that have posted. What sort of gathering location can the Madison mama's suggest?

Ha! I broke down last night and turned the air on... couldn't take it anymore! If I were queen of the world, I'd not pick too "end of August" because I start gearing up to start the school year ( teacher :) )...but if it works best for everyone else I'll deal

YK I'd offer up my place as a gathering spot and make "planning" easier. Does anyone have an objections to meeting up here in Beloit? Otherwise we should find a park or something similar in Madtown since it seems most central to everyone.

I can see your point about late Aug. How about mid Aug? I want to give us plenty of time to get it on calenders and make any plans.

nak... oht...

mid-August is just fine :)

I'm fine w/Beloit, but Madison is fine too. Anyone who actually lives in Madison have any ideas? We don't do parks much in Madison because we live in Columbus, lol. I'd rather that someone with more Madison "park-experience" pick, ykwim?

Anyone else?

helllloooo echo echo echo

looks like all the WI mama's got back to their lives & I'm the only one left again :(

We're planning a big party in late September. Sort of a house warming, green dinner, get to know everyone we've met in the past year thing. I'm openly inviting any of the other WI mama's to come if they are interested. I'll have more info closer to the date.

In the meantime, DD & I might be at the happy bambino ap thing on friday if I can get someone to drive up with us. the thought of navigating that big city solo isn't high on my list (I left Chicago for a reason!). maybe we'll run into some of you all there.

HEY FELLOW CHEESE HEADS!

Your invited to our first annual house party.

It's hard to believe we've been here for a year. Come see all the renovations we've made to the house in person. Come eat our food, drink our beer and sit on our porch. In other words; come enjoy a classic Sunday of Beloit-er-ing (defined as doing a lot of nothing).

When: September 25
Time: 10am to when ever
Where: The Sunflower House, Beloit WI

PM me for address & directions.

Looking forward to meeting some of you in person.
