Well, Hawaii isn't in the Southwest either! And with these being meetup boards...Admin needs to realize that it's a six-hour flight from Hawaii just to get to the West Coast. I can understand perhaps putting Hawaii in with CA if not Alaska (does Alaska even have a place?) where it's usually lumped...But having Hawaii in the same meeting space as New Mexico just doesn't make any sense.
And no, Texas is not the southwest. :) Glad to see others realize that.

I DO know TX isn't really SW. (although the military does count TX as part of the West coast). I just said "probably here since I've already invaded this one" meaning I already started a thread about TX over here. LOL! D.amn - pickin' on a girl's geography skills and all.

lol Im sorry hun..
Im a homegrown Texan so that's why I HAVE to comment. It's like a rule if youre a Texan or something. lol
I'd consider Texas to be "south central".
Maybe Hawaii should be all on it's own?
who knows!
I do know hardly ANYONE lives by me. I live in New Mexico and it's purty lonely here.

As do I. I mean, you look at a map & you see Texas is pretty much in the center of the country. And when you look at culture and history, TX doesn't fit in the Southwest from those angles either. But it's "west of the Mississippi", which I guess is what counts for most people.
It's just funny how Admin missed the second-largest State completely.
