ok girls, i know there are a fair amount of us here, guess we should do a roll call.

I am heather, mama to Simon (2m) and Liam (3.5). I live in Alabama, and consider myself uhhhm semi crunchy I guess? I breastfeed, cloth diaper, dont circ, family bed, sling, etc. We do our best on eating "good" food, but tend to eat out too much (not fast food other than Subway and pizza). I am married to an ultra picky eater, and my son is as well, so that makes life a bit more complicated.

What else? Lets see, I have a bachelor's degree in English, and am a thesis away from a Masters. I recently became a LLL leader. I have been a member at Amitys since I was abt 16 weeks pregnant with Liam, so right at 4y.

all I can come up with ATM :)

I am Julie, mama to Savannah (2yr) and Jackson (2mo). I live just outside Athens, Georgia.

My mom (georgiadoula) and my sister (jami) are both members here too.
I have been a member here for about 2 years. I'm married to a hunk of a guy...he's a computer geek and I'm a stay at home mom.

Hi!

I'm Heather, married to Andy and mama to Lakin (who will be 4 in 2 weeks) and Addah (2½). We live in south Georgia, halfway between Macon and Savannah (smack dab in the middle of nowhere :p).

I've been a member here since my oldest was a baby but I'm more a lurker than a poster. My husband and I own Moss Feet Shoes, and my husband is currently working a 2 weeks notice and then will be joining me as MFS' 2nd fulltime employee! :)

Ooh I forgot ~ I should add that I was raised and my whole family lives in Greenville, SC and we visit there at least once every 6-8 weeks. :)

Hi I'm Jo, married to Vin, and mama of three lil heathens- 14yo, 10 1/2yo, and 2 1/2yo. We live in South Georgia and it's lonely here! :( LOL.

I'm 3 1/2 hours from Atlanta, 2 hours from Jacksonville, 1 1/2 hours from Tallahassee, 4 1/2 hours from Tampa, 3 1/2 hours from Savannah, and 3 1/2 hours from Orlando. Also known as 15 miles from the Florida border. I miss out on all the fun stuff darnit. *trying to do a really good pouty face* ;)

I've been a member here almost 2 years now and so much has happened during that time. Time sure has flown that's for sure. :)

Hi! I'm Michelle. We moved to southwest Florida almost a year ago. I joined shortly after my daughter was born, so about two years ago. My kids are Justin, 4 1/2, and Rebecca, 26 months.

I'm a sahm, and we homeschool. We also do a lot of the crunchy/AP stuff, but I'm not militant or anything. One glance in my pantry would probably make you think I"m pretty soggy. ;)

Hi, another Michelle! I live right near Heather in Central Alabama. She lives in town and I live rurally. We have 15 acres. Beth is 8 1/2 and Samantha is 5. I have been a member a long time. I can't remember how long. I post a lot more now that I am working full-time. I did not have time at home (can't see how all you do it.) I am pretty crunchy. Extended breastfeeding, cloth diapers, delayed solids, selective vax, mostly organic food on a GFDF diet, co-sleep (some now, but lots early on), anti-circ but I have all girls, natural cleaners, natural most everything from soaps to clothes.

Hi! I'm Allison - married to Eric for 10yrs. I have 6 kids - Chrrisy is 12.5, Mikhail will be 10 in Sept, Kiera is 7.5, Kivett is 5.5, Aislinn is 3, and Alannah is 7 weeks tomorrow (born 5/13). I live in Orange City - about 45 min North of Orlando. I've been a member of Amity's since Kivett was a wee babe - so a little over 5 years.

We homeschool the 3 oldest right now, and Kivett will start with the new school year too. I've had a couple gathering at my house - and I LOVE having them (should be time for another one soon!). Just need to figure out when ;)

Dh is a robot technician (not as fancy as it sounds, lol) and a real estate agent on the side. I'm a sahm. We're hoping to start our own property managment business this year, and then I'll be a pt WAHM, and hopefully we can grow it to where dh is a wahd :)

I'm Candy, have been married to Jerry for 9.5 yrs and have 3 kids. Michael is almost 19 (we adopted him in 2000), Jaycie is 4 and Cameron is 8 months. We're in the FL Panhandle but travel often to MS (in-laws and great grandparents) and to Orlando (we're there now actually :)). I've been at Amity's since Jaycie was about 5 or 6 months old, so about 3.5 yrs. I'm a former teacher but left to stay at home w/ Jaycie the month before she was born. We're struggling trying to decide between homeschooling and public school since she goes for speech therapy at a great school already. I'll be doing BFIAR this year to see how it goes. :) Jerry works for DCF and just recently left the church we had been at for 7 years as the pastor. We do lots of the 'crunchy/AP' stuff too but like Michelle, we're not militant (but I am really passionate about no circ, bf & vax) and our pantry would show 'sogginess'.

Well I will add mine to this group. We are currently living in Alabama, although this is only a temporary location for us while dh looks for a job.

I am Robin and am married to Tim for almost 15 years. We have three children Graham, Eli and Josh and lost our first baby boy when I was 22 weeks preggo. I have been at AW since before G was born so 6 years now.

I am semi crunchy, we don't circ, selectively/delay vac, bf, family bed, but we eat too much junk and I am trying to remedy that. We also watch too much tv, play too many video/computer games and stay on the net too much. We are homeschooling this year and plan to continue as long as we can.

Dh is a church planter/pastor and like I said he is currently looking for a position. We have lived in several different places and so I have met several moms from AW.

I live a few miles outside of Montgomery, AL and have been around AW from the very early days (in 1998). I have two children ~ Lauren (who will be 15 yrs in July) and Max (7 1/2 yrs). I have been a SAHM since Lauren was a baby and my husband is a software developer/engineer. I used to be moderately crunchy, but have softened with age...LOL! I work part-time at my church as the Director of Children's Ministries, am the treasurer of the high school band boosters, and spend alot of time of driving kids here and yon.

I'm in Spring Hill, FL - about 40 minutes north of Tampa. Just moved here from Tampa about 2 months ago. :) I'm a SAHM to my 3 girls and we will start our first year of homeschooling soon! Mary is 14, Hannah is 4, and Kali is 2 already. DH Alex is a mortgage broker and is lucky enough to run his own business and work from home.

I get a bit crunchier each year in some area, and a bit soggier in others. I "found" my love of sewing through Amity's when I discovered cloth diapering. Now I'm just a sad, sad fabric-holic who can't get enough. ;)

Hi all :)

I'm Tracey, been married to Charles for a little over 8 years & together for 9+. I have 3 sons, ages nearly 8, 6 1/2 and 3. We homeschool and do alot of crunchy stuff, I guess we officially AP but I'm becoming disillusioned with that term over the years. I'm not so into rules, yk?

Um...hmm. I'm crafty/artsy in waves...I paint, bead, scrap, draw, sculpt, make wreaths, photograph, sew, dye, do random other crafty stuff and am learning to care for my perennials :) I love music, lots of different styles. We live about 40 min due north of Atlanta...at the foot of the mountains.

I like to read and I have a dog. Anything I missed?

I am Cheryl, mom to 3 girls, and a little guy coming to join us in a few and a half months. Yeah! We live in the upstate of SC. We are from Ohio, originally, but moved here because some relatives did. Absolutely love it!

We are a homeschooling, mostly dairy free family. I have been married to Greg for almost 14 years ( in September). We have lived in AK ( where our 2 oldest were born) and in California ( married on Carmel's beach) and of course Ohio. Yes, we are former military.

I was at Amity's about 5 years ago and sorta quit when my youngest ( now 5) was out of cloth diapers. Re joined about 4 months ago because I loved the wonderful support offered here for mamas. I love the new formats, and its
awesome to come here everyday.

I am Sarah, mom to 2 boys and a girl...ages 10.5, 7.5, and 6. We live just north of Atlanta in the suburbs...in Alpharetta. We are from PA originally, but have lived here going on 10 years.

We are a homeschooling, vegetarian family. We are fairly crunchy as a family, although I think I could be crunchier and DH thinks I am crunchy enough. We have 2 yellow labs, 2 cats, and 1 chinchilla.

I joined Amity's back when I was pregnant with my youngest, who is just turning 6. I used cloth diapers for my second and my third, eventually finding my way as a WAHM(I was the original owner of Jordyn's Dreams for those that may remember 5 years ago... )

That is us in a crunchy nut shell:)

I'm Sonya, WOHM to Will, and wife of Jeff. I don't consider myself crunchy at all, but go on my instincts in my parenting which I guess makes me slightly ap. I was raised by my mom who cloth diapered and fed us hot dogs and mac-n-cheese, so pardon me if my version of raising a healthy child is wonky at times! lol...

I'm in NE Alabama too... Albertville, between Huntsville and Birmingham. I'd love to meet some mama's if any live nearby!

Hi I am Judi I don't know where I live anymore!?! hahahaha we have been trying to get a house built in Cape Coral ,FL for over a year now, but we will be moving FINALLY in the next few weeks from Naples.

I am a SAHM mom to two boys Joey (6) and Nicky (2). I am half crunchy. I couldn;t handle the cloth diapering, but we were breast feeding, homeschooling, sling wearing, co-sleep, mostly healthy foods, but like mentioned before, I was raised on all kinds of crap, so a little here and there doesn't hurt us!

Lauren, mama to Kate, nearly 7, and Jake, nearly 5. I'm a Florida shorttimer, LOL, as we are moving north to Vermont, hopefully within a month. I am a massage therapist and writer and dh is a teacher and writer. We are hoping to cash in on this big real estate boom and move North and buy a place cash or mostly cash. We might be buying land and building our own, very simple/small, home. This will allow us to spend more time with the kiddos and writing!

Um...we do a laundry list of crunchy stuff - homebirthed both kids, don't vax (started out selective and now don't vax at all), try to eat whole organic foods, cloth diapered, breastfed (still nursing my 5yo), slung 'em, cosleep, & so on.

We love to spend time in nature - at the beach, the springs, in the forest.

I have been at Amity's since Jan 1999, so 6.5 years. Yikes.

<-- is mama bear to 2 cubs so far.

we live in sc.

<--- is when i became a memeber, i lurked a bit before that, and still do more lurking than posting.

i am a sahm, dh is a EMT, and a volunteer firefighter, he also works part time at lowe's.

we unschool so far, but i am leaning towards a little more structure for my sanity, lol.

we practice clw. ds weaned in jan 05 at just over 5 years old. we tandemed from feb 03 till then. i am still nursing his sister, roo. she will be 3 in february.

ds, unfortunately is cut. i regret it fully. i simply did not do as much research as i should have, and just did it because i thought it was somethign that had to be done. :(

same with vaxes for the most part. ds was (over) vaxed through age 2, despite haveing a reaction that imo had him hospitalized at 4 months, and having slight reactions at others as well. dd had shots at 2 months, and had reactions as well, and after visiting the er, i had my heart set on no more. shortly before she was to have her 4 months checkup, my great nephew died (he was just over a week older than my roo). he had his 4 month checkup, was pronounced healthy, had his vaxes, and died from sids. we cancelled dd's 4 month checkup. when we went back at 6 months i had found my spine. neither of my kids has had poisons injected in the name of "immunization" since then.

we only did cloth dipes for a few months with ds, and he was potty trained shortly afterwards. with dd, she was in mostly cloth from the beginning.

we are(well, were) a babywearing family, in fact i dont even own a stroller. i carried tig in the sling until my belly was too big while pg with roo. she was slung until several months ago when shew decided she prefers to walk or ride in a buggy while shopping now.

we also are a cosleeping family. ds was in our bed/room until he was ready for his own bed (just a little over 3 years old) hopefully dd will want to start sleeping in their room soon. dh is going to build a loft bed in there, so that may give her the gentle nudge in that direction, if not we'll keep cosleeping :).

there is more to us, but that's enough for now :)

Hey~

This is my first post here! I'm Laura, married ten years to Randel, & mom to Alex (9), Ethan (8), Drew (6), & Gunner (9 months). Yes, they're all boys, lol! We live in NE Alabama-around Snead, which is kind of in between Oneonta & Boaz. I saw a couple Mamas posting on here who are pretty close by. Looking forward to talking to y'all!

Blessings, Laura*
