I am not up for coordinating this or anything (as I'm part of group A and one group is probably enough for me right now...), but I wanted to post this since the thread started by Tawnya is full as far as I can tell (Marcey seems to be number 10). But, I wanted to start this thread in case anyone who was too late for the other (and might either not want to be in on Hallowe'en or misses that one too, which seems to be filling up quickly) can still be a part of a fall swap.

The people who have participated in the last few nature table swaps have ranged from novices to professional crafters.

It's fine that you are in Canada. Everyone will send their items to me and then I will put together the packages for everyone and ship them out. Everyone pays their own postage, so as long as you don't mind paying your postage from Canada to Connecticut and back, it's not a problem :)

can we go over the requirements again - like do the things need to be handmade? who do we send them too? etc

Handmade items, sized for a nature table. Can be made of whatever you choose - needle felted, wool felt, clay, etc.

No set value; send something that you would like to receive yourself :)

Once I get everything here, I will sort things out and package them up and post shipping totals. So far almost everything has been under a pound, so the shipping has been $3.85 priority.

Fall is the best time to start a nature table (IMO, lol!). I always had one, even as a kid, for the fall (though I never called it a nature table then). Then I started branching out when I had my own home, and started to do them for all seasons, holidays, etc. There are so many wonderful things for the fall - dd has created beautiful fall nature tables just with things she has found outside :)

Okay Mamas, I need help. I have NO clue as what to make for fall table. Can you throw some ideas out there for me??? I have too many things going thru my little brain to even think about what is fall related.

I have one idea that popped into my head as I was typing. What about a Leaf baby??? Sort of like a maple or oak leaf with a bendy. Hard to explain. I see it in my head but not sure how to do it yet. I will work on this while my children are away & send a pic for feedback. But in the mean while ALL ideas are so VERY welcome.

I'd like to make wooden flying geese, like the large flapping ones you can buy from wood workers or whatever, but small, nature table sized. I'd use my scroll saw and finish with beeswax. Is everyone ok with something meant to be hung above the nature table area (or off a tree branch on it)?

Just posting I was making little rugs that can be used for fall picnics or houses for your little people :) I am trying to stick to fall colors but some might have other colors in them. My kids love to use these for their fairies to eat on ;) Dd sometimes uses them for their "winter blankets". If I have enough time I am trying to finish apples as we love picking apples and making applesauce here in the fall :) Hope that sounds okay with everyone.

I am sorry I have to do this but I may have to drop this swap. I just realize the deadline is Aug 26 and today is Aug 24. I am not going to be able to make 10 bendies in 2 days. I recently went back to work & now I am getting ds ready to start kindergarten.

If I can send mine AFTER Labor Day I could still join in but if that would hold all the rest of you up then I will drop. (Hanging my head in shame I am so forgetful)

How about if we extend the deadline for this one until Friday, September 9th? If you have things ready before hand, by all means go ahead and send them. But this will give anyone who is getting ready for the start of school, or taking a last minute summer trip, or who has 2 birthdays this week (me -- dd's and my brother's are tomorrow! LOL) a bit omre time to finish up. I would rather extend the date than lose anyone :)

An extended deadline would work great here as well. This move took more out of me than I expected so it's been hard finishing up my swap stuff. This would give me a chance to still be in this AND get some unpacking done.

I started back to work part-time & the whole back to work & children to school has taken its toll.

i SWEAR mine is coming out within the next couple of days! my original idea didn't work so i've been going nuts coming up with an alternative!

Almost everyone has been running late on all of the fall swaps. It's that whole back to school, new homeschooling season, new fall activities thing :)

Since I am waiting on a few pkgs for each of the swaps I am coordinating now, I am just going to wait until everything that is already due to get here (I'm guessing another week or so) and just ship everything together . That woul dbe the fall, halloween, tiny things, fairy tales swaps. I will probably do the elemental one separately since I just took that one over the other day and I don't think anyone has shipped yet. but if I get those by the time I get everything else, I will ship those too :)

oh - since i am doing the halloween one too - maybe i'll just wait until next week to send everything in - or will that be too confusing?

mom2kbeth- I sent you a PM the other day but not sure if you received it or not. I just wondered if you had an idea when stuff would be going out so I knew whether or not to have you send them here or to my MIL's.

We're moving the 27th and I don't want the package lost in the mail. I'm not in any hurry so please don't think I'm rushing you, it doesn't matter WHEN I get it, I just want to make sure it goes to the right place so I DO get it. ;)
