View Full Version : Tons of PRR Knit Boxers Briefs for Jack S~N~S
I think I almost have all of the boxers Jack will need for a while. The Prr works out perfectly for boxers since it's a very light weight jersey and doesn't take much fabric to make. I think I'll try a pair for Kyle next except with something that a 13yr old will go for, he's kind of picky but if it has something to do with skateboarding or Hockey I'm good to go.
These were fun and easy to make. I used Jalie boxer pattern #978 which has been discontined but has been replaced with #2327.

Awesome undies!!! I need to start considering making my guy some - maybe cool undies would help him get interested in the potty!? :)
How did you put the waistband on? Mine looked beyond FUNKY--it's hideous!
Oh, and on a scale of 1 to 10, how difficult were these cute little boxers?

Does that pattern go up to men's sizes? If it does, I want it! I got my hubby a pack of boxers like that off the clearance rack. Woo Hoo! He looks as sexy as hell in them. :smirk: He came down with a pair on this morning looking for his regular underware. Boy did that make my heart skip a beat. :beat: He says they make him hot and sweaty, so maybe I can make him some in a more breathable knit. ;)

I think you and I would get along well IRL. We have a lot of the same fabric! :D Not to mention kids with the same name, lol. (Not that I ever use it...) I love the undies! I love the model shot! I love the stash! :D
Eli wore his nightgown out of that car knit last night.

Shecki, I was thinking the same thing! her stash looks like yours :)
Totally cute! I think I'm going to start making boxers for Mary -- makes them easier to get on and off, and she won't need shorts under her dresses ;)

Too stinkin' cute! I want to make some now too! :)
Whoa Erin this getting a little x-rated..."hot and sweaty"
Yes, the pattern goes from Toddler to Adult men sizes so you get a lot of bang for you buck :D The newer pattern seems to be easier since there are less pieces

Hmmm. on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most difficult. I'd say these are a 2 maybe a 3.
This is how I did the waist. I bought 1.25" soft knit elastic (I didn't use the boxer elastic because it was a little overwhelming for these little boxer, they're really tiny, my guy has a tiny tush). I took 2.5" off Jack's original waist measurement and cut the elastic. I zigzaged the elastic ends together to make it in a circle. I marked 4 places equal distance by folding in quarters (used my blue marker) made the same marks on the boxers. Then I pinned the elastic to the boxers on the outside. I put the outside print facing up and the elastic on top, then on my sewing machine (a tiny zigzag stitch at about 2.5 length) sew on the lower edge. Make sure the underside is even with the bottom of the elastic, stretch and sew in the circle. I hope that was clear. After you do the first the rest are easy. Make sure to steam the elastic after your finished to shrink it back to size.

Those are awesome. Yep, count me as another who was checking out the stash on the shelve behind Jack. :D
I have a Jack too! And now that he's showing an interest in the Potty... he's going to need some boxers too. Definitely need to get that Pattern. :)
